Thanks for all the comments about Xander.  I love sharing him with all of you.  If there's anyone who can appreciate the awesomeness that is a doberman, it is another doberman parent!!

You all probably remember me talking about Xander and his Beloved DOT.  There was a time we had to take Dot away because he was getting over excited when he played and then became loud and slightly aggressive when we put Dot away.  Clearly he needed an intervention, so Dot went on hiatus.  Dot has since come out of retirement (again).  Watching Xander play is almost as entertaining for us as it is for him.  What a riot.

Here is a picture of Xander and Dot as they played this afternoon.  What a pair they make!!

So glad DOT is back.. I can see that Xander is too..Wow.. has he ever gotten big!!. You know.. there's probably a twelve step program for DOTS in your area.

The first step in any Twelve-Step program is admitting you have a problem.  Xander refuses to do that.  So, I'm afraid a good DAA Program wouldn't work for him.  We'll just have to continue living with a laser addict in the house.  Sigh.

Honestly, every time a camera comes out, Xander suddenly becomes very uncooperative.  This halloween shot was one of 15 that even turned out, and only because Xandersdad was holding him still and moved his hands just as I snapped the shot.  It was difficult even keeping the hat on his head.  Took lots and lots of XanderSnax for him to agree to even try.

And, get this, my youngest daughter dressed as a cat for Halloween this year.  She left her headband kitty ears on the counter while she went to school today, and when I came home from voting, found the ears torn to shreds on the living room carpet.  This is the first time Xander has shredded anything in a long time.  He knew he was in trouble the moment I walked in the door.  Guess this was payback for making him dress up.  Grrrrrrr.

Love the picture of Zander watching the dot.  What a gorgeous head and body!  Dobies are the most beautiful dogs - and the have the personality to match.  Ginger is zonked out next to me almost with head on keyboard as I type this.  She's had a very busy day!

Hello, and long-time-no-see!!

Greetings from the great land of Utah.  It has been a while.  Did you miss us?

It has been warmer here the past few days and Xander can't get enough of baking in the sun.  When it's warm you can find him in one of his two favorite spots in the back yard.  He often rings his bell to go sit outside and enjoy the smells of spring.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature decided to play a belated April Fools joke and dumped 4 inches of snow on us last night.  The nerve!!  Good thing Xander loves snow too.

Just wanted to drop a note to let you know that we are still here.

In case you've been missing him, here is a new picture of our boy.  This is entitled "Sith Lord Xander." (Sorry the quality is low... it was taken with my dirty phone lens).

Just had to share these photos... how many other breeds can "palm" a soccer ball?  I'd like to see a chihuahua do this!!  ;)
