Two days ago I brought home my first Doberman. She and my Chihuahua shockingly get along great! I am looking for advise on house training. I trained my Chi to go on the newspaper and then eventually I would see him looking for the paper and take him outside (etc and so on). I have read that with larger breeds it should be one or the other, but not to shape/fade papers to outside.

She has had few accidents in the house, as I take her out very often... but does anyone have anything helpful hints that worked for you?

Also, she is teething already! What kinds of things could I do to keep her away from furniture?

With hades it was just a matter of consistancey to get him to go outside. just make sure your taking her outside after she eats, plays, has a nap, and every half hour to an hour. youll get to know her signs of when shes has to go hades would go to the door and walk away. eventually I figured out that it was his way of say hey i have to go and would take him outside. as for the chewing when she starts to chew the furnature tell her no and give her one of her toys to chew on that way she learns whats ok to chew and whats not make sure you prase her when she chews on the toy tho

Thank you so much!  I was reading that presenting a toy she can chew when shes chewing on furniture will help.  I will try it :)
