I was cleaning the house and walked into the office to find Steve attacking his bed.  I should've corrected him right away but he didn't notice me and the camera was within reach...

Just one of those moments where I had a little laugh over something he did and thought I'd share.

Just wait until he gets his real Doberteeth. The pet beds then stand no chance.

When my late sister was visiting once, we went to Wal-Mart and while there I decide to get Cindy (red female about a year old at this time) a nice looking fluffy bed. We came home and while Cindy was out in the back yard, I put the bed in her crate. (This was in about 2000) I let Cindy back in and put her in her crate. About 30 minutes later she was whining to get out, so I looked in at her. I immediatedly called sis. The front door of the crate was about 3/4 of the way up with white polyester filling.

I opened the crate door and she came out dragging fluff and shredded pad cover with her. She was a whirler, in that she would do 360's inside the crate when excited, and had some of the cover twisted around one leg.

We were picking up fluff for days, it wound up all over the house. From the time I let her in to the total destruction of the pad - around 20 minutes. She was back to sleeping on towels and carpet samples. They last longer.

I've got a dog that can only have towels too.Carpet samples is another good idea.I'll have to try that.As much as she loves her crate(I never even close the door anymore),nice comfy beds in it don't stand a chance.

He has a thick quilt in his crate - wouldn't trust him with a bed with how mouthy he is.  That was Harry's bed that I keep in the office for when I'm working.  When I'm not in there it's usually on top of a desk... which he can now reach, little monster!  :)

jeshkai.. I think Steve just wanted to help you move the furniture so you could clean underneath.Either that or he just wanted that PINK blanket out of there!!

what a hoot.. I watched it three times and laughed so hard.. it's priceless.. I love the muscles he's developing in his back legs...he's going to be a sturdy fella..but what I noticed the most, even though there was a lot of head shaking and shark attacking.. no damage was done.. He's learning at an early age that those doberjaws can do some serious damage and is aware of how to go easy on his bed..

thanks for sharing!

Oh he is big on helping - we keep trying to get a video of him helping Eli weed.  It's really hysterical as he tracks the glove to the weed, tracks it to the bucket, sticks his head in the bucket to make sure its there then its back to "helping daddy".

Harry likes pink.. what can I say its his bed..!!

And yes he is getting very sturdy very quickly.  His dad is 128lbs and not an ounce of fat on him.  I still can't believe how much he's grown!  But he does have that gentleness to him even when he's playful.. he very gently paws at Harry's head to get him to "play" (well, Harry chases after him barking quite annoyed) and never gets mouthy with him.

He's my baby all right!
