My 11 week old pup only nips and jumps at me when walking outside. I have got to the point where he behaves very well for me indoors but for some reason outside he has different behaviour.

i walk round the garden, he follows by my side, all is fine. He jumps up, I stand still, he stops. I take a step forward, he jumps again, I stop moving, push him off gently, say nothing. He stops. I start walking again, he jumps some more, starts biting. I say nothing, push him off gently and hold his at arms length, he calms down. I start walking and he jumps and bites again. This continues until I get inside whereby I ignore him for a few minutes then call him and praise his calmness.

does anyone have any suggestions please? As I said I am happy with all indoor behaviour. It is just in the garden off the leash.

He's young and just wants to play and burn off some energy!  Can you maybe throw a ball for him for a while when you first go outside?

I can do that yes. I am surfeit is attention seeking so I will ignore him for a bit afterwards and see if he learns.
