RnD Dobermans announcing there new hopeful litter

5 replies [Last post]

I just wanted to introduce myself I'm a new member and am very excited about our new litter we are expecting. I actually have an ultrasound scheduled for next Friday to see if she is actually pregnant or not. This is the first scheduled breeding that we actually did progesterone testing for and unfortunately bred her a day to late so we will see if she takes. I'm crossing my fingers that everything went okay, if not we will repeat the breeding in July when she comes into heat again. Our dogs are all health tested for vWD, Thyroid (Michigan State) eyes cerfed, Cardio screening including 24 holter monitor, echocardiogram and hips OFA. The litter we are expecting will be an all black litter with everyone being vWd clear. Please visit my website to see what all the excitement is about http://www.rnddobermans.net. If anyone has any questions about progesterone testing I've learned alot through this process. This litter is pretty much spoken for so I really hope everything comes out okay!

Hey rnd, update please!  Did the breeding take?

Not this time unfortunately no fault of ours. I spent a fortune on progesterone testing and spent a week in a hotel trying to make it happen. The stud dog was his first time and we ended up doing an AI very last minute, but at the time we did it the progesterone said it was to late. I still wanted to try after all the money I had into it and the people waiting for puppies. So unfortunately no puppies this Spring  :'( We will be breeding her in August and this time will either do a frozen implant or the AI's on the appropriate days.

I was devastated but at least it gives us another few months to add to her training and hopefully titles. Everyone cross there fingers for us in August! Think Puppies and lots of them (well, not to many it makes it hard to raise them the correct way) 5-7 would be perfect! Hey while we are all thinking of puppies and wishful thinking can I add to it a large female litter. We will be keeping a boy this time and I have 5 girl homes lined up (2 on co-ownerships) that will be competing in various things such as search and rescue, conformation, obedience, and agility. I'm still excepting names for males though.
