Absolutely gorgeous. I love the ears. I don't recall seeing the headshot on your website, but it says it all.

In my mind there is nothing in nature as beautiful as a younger 1 1/2 - 3 year old Doberman that has had good care. There is also nothing in the dog world as loving, intelligent and as inquisitive. Some say they are not a house dog because of their size, but they belong in the house with their people. If they are not, both the people and the dog are incomplete.

This girl is DROP. DEAD. GORGEOUS. She literally took my breath away when I saw the first picture.  Beautiful.  I have that same wonderful love for my girl, who just turned 1 on March 28th. She was a rescue, I got her at 11 weeks old knowing that I know nothing about her breeding or health and it was a chance, but I just fell in love with her.  The story is too sad to tell, but she was from a busted up puppy mill, so not telling what i have got here as far as her breeding and health.  So far, I have to say, her temperament is great.  I have 2 kids, 15 and 10, and she adores them.  I have two cats, she would chase them if she could, but we say "no kitties" about 10 times a day (used to be about 50) and she is doing very well with them.  Never tried to hurt them, just wants to play with them.  I have so much love for this dog, never knew I could love one so much.  She is my first dobe, my husband's second.  I never wanted a big dog.  I had just lost my springer spaniel (13 years old) 2 months before I got Greta and I always figured I'd get another spaniel.  I had no ideas dobermans were so amazing.  I was always in awe of their beauty, but had no idea they were so wonderful.  I just love her!  Sorry to ramble, just wanted to say I think your dog is amazing.  She looks like a supermodel! Seriously, I had to bring my husband in to see her and he concurs, she is GORGEOUS!!!!!! :)

I cry reading those sad stories, too.  I can't even walk into the humane society, I just fall to pieces because I want to take every dog and every cat home with me.  My little girl is very treasured at our home, too.  We just can't imagine not having her! Yeah, I think I am a doberman person forever.  :)

Good luck with the rallying? I will have to go and google as ive never heard of it.
Is Chasing my Dream the kennel club name? Q's is 'Quantum of Solace'  :)

My kennel name for all the dogs I breed starts with RnD which stands for Ron my husband and Desiree myself. Paris' name in particular has a special meaning to me as I'm chasing alot of dreams in regards to my kennel, showing, titling and the future. She will be bred in August to a spectacular male and the theme of the litter is Secret so the puppy I keep to continue on with will be named RnD's Secret Dream. In fact if anyone has any ideas for litter names please let me know. They have to have the word secret in it and it would be awesome if they could contain dream but secret names are perfect. All the puppies will go home with a registered name that carry on the theme of the litter. Here is a link to my website and a picture of the male we are breeding to. HE was reserve winners dog at are national last year which is quite and honor. He is also on the cover this month of the Doberman digest stud dog issue. He is also a mobility assistant dog and titled in rally as well as herding.  I'm extremely excited about the upcoming litter! http://www.rnddobermans.net/thesecret.html

:) Gosh I wish you all the very best with the breeding and your kennels. I'm sure all your babies will be lovely.
My breeder names each litter after a movie. Q came from a James Bond film :)

TOP SECRET comes to mind hehe

Thanks, I love the name "top secret" thats a good one. Anyone else care to help me come up with litter names with the word secret in it. I need to find a couple that have both secret and dream in the same sentence. Here is a link to the proposed breeding.

How 'bout "the secret is to dream"?  Too long?
"Dreamy Secrets"  maybe?

Wow, congratulations on the rallies!  Even if she won "only" 2nd, those scores look pretty darned good if they are scored deductively.

Let's see:  Top Secret as Q suggested,  Secret Desire (a play on your own name), hidden love...  That should be one mighty fine litter.

Oh I love it! Thanks for sharing! I have a couple of show puppy requests that I NEED to have names with both secret and dream and this is just perfect. I'm glad I asked! Again if anyone can think of names with both secret and dream I would love it if the whole litter could carry this, otherwise It has to contain secret. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, KEEP THE NAMES COMING!

:) Secret obsessions dream :)

You guys are the best I'm adding them to my list! THANKS!

Well, we had a good weekend at the shows. Paris earned 2 more legs towards her RAE title. She is now at 4/10. To earn this title it takes 10 double qualifying scores in the same day one in advanced and one in excellent all classes are done off leash. We will be showing next Friday for 1 more leg towards it then Sat, Sun in the breed ring, Mon, Tue in rally and breed. I'm going to be glad when next weekend is OVER! I can breathe a sigh of relief for a brief period LOL.

Paris is something special.  Congratulations to both of you! :D :D

Okay, I'm so EXCITED Paris and I just got done with one of our double qualifying rally days and we got a perfect score of 100. We took 1st place in our Excellent B class and went back into the other class and got 2nd place with a score of 97/100 possible points. The part that makes it the most exciting is the judge took the time to come up and tell me that although she wasn't a hard scoring judge that she very rarely gives out perfect scored of 100 and what a good team my dog and I presented. I was SO PROUD of her! ;D ;D

WOW, D, that is fantastic!!  You are quite a team!

Paris is your "perfection" - the culmination of your breeding, your training, and your dedication.  You must be very satisfied with all that work paying off.  I am happy for you.

We qualified for both days entered in CDA shows. The show was in a horse barn so extremely difficult for us. Even so we had another huge compliment from the judge at ribbon time. Right now have 7 legs out of 10 I'm hoping to finish at our next set of shows in Montana at the end of June. For the next couple weeks Agility is the name of the game! Her first trial (one we are not ready for) is in 2 weeks.

Sorry I have not posted in awhile.

Let us know how it goes with the agility!  It's coming up on "a couple of weeks."  Do you two feel ready?  I know you and her are very well in tune with each other.

Any updates on Steph and Boo?  Or are they done now?

Our agility trial is next weekend then we are off to another show the following to hopefully finish up her RAE title. Not sure if we are ready for the agility, I'm hoping for at least 1Q out of 2. She fell off the bridge which slowed us down a little but we have been working our butts off LOL.

Steph and Boo finished there RA title and got 1 leg towards the RE title and 1 leg towards her CD. The 2 of us are going to be signing up for agility classes together so that will be fun. Steph has always wanted to do that. Her next show will not be until Oct when it will be local again. It gets terribly expensive to enter 2 dogs and travel.

I'm so excited, just got home from our first agility trial we had 2 shows that we entered. We qualified each day and got 1st place on both days to top it off. It was a great weekend, learned a lot, met really nice people and Paris and I had a BLAST! We even had to do our run today in pouring down rain. ;D ;D

:) Thats fantastic to hear. Well done to you and Paris Is the competition just for dobes or all breeds?

Well we have had a busy month but I'm proud to say that we have finished another title, Paris now has earned her RAE title! ;D On top of that we have 2/3 legs towards an agility title. I'm very proud of her, we are now going to be concentrating on finishing the 2 agility titles hopefully by the end of July (that is pushing it) and in the meantime be training in tracking. Ultimately we will be after a versatility title hopefully by next Summer. We will be taking time off for puppies as she is to be bred in August.

Just got back from a agility trial and Paris earned her Jumpers title! YEAH! ;D I'm hoping to add a picture of her soon jumping they had a photographer their taking pictures cant wait to see them. We will be taking some time off now as she will be coming into heat and will be bred this month.

Wow, way to go Paris!  ;D

Best of luck to you in the breeding, hoping to see some lovely puppy pics from you in a few months.

New pic of Paris in agility. I love the way this dog is so in tune to me and what I'm asking of her this picture shows it well as her ears are up and she is looking at me for direction. The funny thing about the picture is I'm using the wrong hand and basically stopping forward motion lol. You can sure tell alot when you watch videos and see pictures of your performances.

The nice thing about rally is AKC designed this for the novice team wishing to start off and compete in obedience. Yes it gets harder as you progress but you are allowed to talk to your dog and repeat commands as much as you want to. I would encourage anyone to try it. I used to teach a rally class here in town and it is super easy to compete at the first level. So YES you do have what it takes to do rally!

thanks rn....i am going to see if there is a club here in brantford.....YES..."I" can do it....

I'm proud to say that Paris had her litter. We have 5 new babies 3 black boys, 1 red boy and only 1 little black girl. She has had a really difficult time with birth had 2 pups at home and had to have an emergency c-section. Puppies were all very large. She and the puppies are still not out of the woods so to speak, but hopefully it wont be long.

Thank you Q and Xanders mom. I just posted a few pics of the puppies up on the website. We are really struggling I appreciate any prayers are way especially for the puppies right now. Paris is one her way to recovery but the puppies are feeling the effects of all that has happened. I can hardly wait until the passes and we are busy playing with them. Here is a link to the beginning of the journey and then another for the puppy pics. For all those that think that breeding is easy and profitable this is a great thing to read. On the birth alone with all the follow up care it has ran around 2000.00+ I quit counting. That doesn't count what it took to get us to that point.
http://www.rnddobermans.net/thejourney.html - this page gives blogs through the birth
http://www.rnddobermans.net/puppyphotojournal.html - this is the main page to click on for the puppy pics they are sooooo cute, they all have different personalities at this point and I can hardly wait till they are all over the place!

Desiree
Thank you so very much for including us on your journey with Paris and the babes.. Right now I can hardly see as tears are streaming down my checks and drowning my keyboard.. How heart renching and I can't tell you how much I admire you for being such an incredibly brave and faithful Mom.
The puppies are adorable, fat and sassy and I know everything will be fine from now on. Rest assured that prayers are with you ( all the way from Mexico) Much love and appreciation.

RND, after our PM exchange and looking at the pictures, I am still saddened. I am of the opinion that Bentley was either the second or third born. If I am right he was injured in the birthing process. That was my experience with Windy's second litter and the two we lost.
