How long it takes a car to heat up. Dangers of leaving your dog in car

I recently read a study that was done at San Francisco University which was a real eye opener for me. I never leave my dogs in the car in any kind of heat. My dogs go all kinds of places with me but they are not brought to places where I will have to leave them in the car unattended. With that being said I found this incredible at how fast a car actually heats up. Many people thing that 70 degrees is safe for a dog in the car well you are wrong. Here is what the study shows.
at 7o degrees outside temp it takes 10 min. for the car to heat to 89, within 2o min the car has reached 100
at 75 degrees outside temp it takes 10 min. for the car to heat to 95, within 20 min the car has reached 105
at 79 degrees outside temp it takes 10 min. for the car to heat to 100, within 20 min the car has reached 110
at 83 degrees outside temp it takes 10 min. for the car to heat to 105, within 20 min the car has reached 119
at 88 degrees outside temp it takes 10 min. for the car to heat to 109, within 20 min the car has reached 120
