I named my new puppy "Badger" because he acts just like one. He eats like a pig, fights 24/7 ( play fighting, not mean ) and is ALWAYS trying to find something to get into. lol However, mine is not pure bred. His mother was a beautiful black and brown doberman, but not sure on the dad. They think a black lab. ( pretty sure that is right ) He is marked like the Doberman though and has that Doberman high pitch screech I have learned about. lol I know this site is for Dobermans, but just wanted to post and say thanks for having it. I have found a lot of useful info between the site and the forum with info I did not know about Dobermans and it has explained a lot of my questions on the breed. He acts a little different then my other puppies from the past, but like I said I never had a Doberman. I also have a pure bred White German Shepherd that is going on 11 years old. I also had a pure bred Collie and a pure bred St. Bernard but they have passed away over the years. This puppy just seems a little different then my others from the past so I was doing some research. Thanks again.

I have never had a Dobie that screeched. Whine, warble, make other noises and of course bark. Now, for a noted screeching dog, get a Miniature Schnauzer, they are really bad about it. Now, when I use the term "screech", I am talking about a very high pitched squeal, so high it actually hurts the ears.

:) Mine hums, or cries if the pup takes his bone away from him. Welcome Berkley and Badger.
