Took me about three hours to put it up, and I'm thinking about adding more pictures to it when I get some -looks at rain irritably-

Go check it out and tell me what you think, okay guys???

And yes, I am VERY excited about this.

That's really nice Seiitsu. Be careful - around the people - I'm sure you'll do great with the animals. Your prices are adorable.

Thank you! Yeah I know, my dad gave me the stranger danger talk and I'll be carrying a knife just in case, but Davis is a pretty mellow town :)

Impressive website.  I really wish there was an ambitious teenager in my town that would walk my dogs for me when I dont have the time.  I would definitely take advantage of it.  Good luck with your endeavor.

Great job and I applaud your tenacity on this.  Being driven now will pay off in your future, I promise.  I was 16 when I got my first job at a veterinary hospital.  Kennel work shortly turned into tech work.  I don't know if I said this on here or not, but when I graduated high school I spent the entire summer house sitting for clients and made quite a lot of money.

I don't think you'd harm getting business if you increase your prices a little.  I charged 50$/day and I believe most companies that are bonded and insured charge from that to 25$/day.  I would walk for 10/$ a half hour walk.

You could try a flat rate for multiple dogs because if the dogs are good you can walk a lot at one time.  But keep it more than for one.

I really hope this pans out for you, it'd give you some great experience.  Did you ask your local vet hospitals if you could give them cards?  I believe there are some card companies online that are super cheap or even free for a small set of cards... I don't have the sites anymore though.

Anyway!! My random sounding advice aside, have fun and good luck! :)  Don't worry about a knife but you might want to get pepper spray anyway and keep it in your bag when you go out at night with friends or you go to stranger's houses.

Seiitsu.. What a fabulous idea you have!! The lady who has come in for Sofia a couple of times when we had to leave her stays in our house, feeds, waters, walks, and we pay her $35.00 a day.. She charges more for multiple dogs.. There are places in the states where pet sitters make a whole lot more!!

I would ask PetSmart and PetCo as well as the veterinarians in your area if you could put up a card.

So proud of your ambition and I love your website. very well done..

from Seiitsu: my dad gave me the stranger danger talk and I'll be carrying a knife just in case, but Davis is a pretty mellow town :)

I agree with Jes, pepper spray and of course a cell phone might be a good way to equip yourself.  I'm thinking that a carrying knife could be a bigger liability than you might think. I also live in a small rural, mellow town, but you just can't be too cautious these days, you know what I mean?

Yeah, pepper spray sounds like a better idea. I was thinking about upping the prices a bit, but since I'm not sure who has what amount of money I don't want it to be too expensive =/

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm adding new pictures to it today if anyone wants to go look at it, they're going to be pictures of my grandpa's GSD's

Oh, and I found a site called vistaprints.com that will print out 250 cards for around $10 so as soon as my stepmom gets paid she's going to loan me some money for that lol

I've used vistaprints for business cards and they are very reasonable.

Just got my cards ordered on vistaprints! I get them in 21 days and I loved how they look, I'm so excited!
