I think the most interesting part of this story was the attorney's defense...he literally mentions that the man "french kisses his dog"

WHAT!?

Anyway, apparently the guy had a stroke before he could get to court, but I haven't found the story on that yet. I just read about this on another forum and thought to bring it here because...I was kind of disturbed by it...

Okay.. I'm going to preface this with:

I think it's insane!!

but... ( dot dot dot)

( yeah... there's always a but) I think mama dogs nip at their pups when they correct them.

Maybe he thought he was a mama dog

and while we're on the kissing subject...

I got DoberFrenched this morning

Owner's name is "MAUL", and he pounces on his dog, and in a separate scene, bites his dog?  Is this just a little bit too much, or what? Sounds like this man's jury trial will be very interesting.

I've heard about an instance like this... a mans dog bit him, so he bit the dog back... the court ruled that he "was using a dogs form of defense to defend himself against the dog" and didn't get in trouble. My thoughts were; Hmmm, who would bite a dog... icky!!! hahaha

I have heard of a "training method" where you bite the dog to show your "dominance" but that sounds remarkably like alpha training.

I can't believe that the guys defense was basically... "well he French kisses it, so why not bite it?" and "its how mamma dogs discipline their babies"

@Katie... I think the guy should have just pleaded insanity... it proly would have worked.
I've been doberfrenched too... but I've never Frenched back... It sounds like this guy does.

Anybody on here bite their dog??? Why??? (honest question)

just a little nuts.  Years ago my moms beagle put her poodle puppy down on the floor with her mouth over the puppies mouth and growled. The poodle never bit the beagle again, maybe that's what he thought he was doing.  or he's just a little nuts

It's one of those "really? REALLY? WTF?" kinda stories.

HOWEVER... Eli's sister-in-law tells me she grabs her beagles ears in her mouth and growls at them.  In play.

I personally wouldn't think to put my mouth near my animals tongues (if it can be avoided) or their fur.  They carry parasites we don't normally, so, yeah, I'd rather stay clear of them.  We all know where those tongues lick sometimes...

Yeah, and I've been playing with a dog and gotten a tongue in the mouth before, but definitely not on purpose. And I've heard about the dominance theory about biting the dog, but I've never done it. My ex used to put his lips over the dogs ear as if to bite him, and the dog eventually stopped biting but...pouncing on his dog so that it yelps? Idk sounds weird to me.

Wowzers. Nope, I don't think I've ever bit my dog.

Been doggie-frenched? Frequently. Usually by accident. =)

But, um... no biting..

BLECH!  No puppy biting in this house!  I don't care if Caesar Milan himself told me to do it, that's just weird.  I give Dakota kisses all the time on her face and head, her fur is so soft I can't help myself :)  I must say I never used to think of myself as the type of person who would let a dog lick my face, but i get kisses from her all the time and don't really mind!  But I also brush her teeth...she has a habit of going into the paddock and bringing out horse souveniers.  Nice.  That's when she get's a big hey there shitbreath, let's go get your toothbrush!

Lmao sweetpea!!!

I kiss their heads but wouldnt lick/bite them haha.

Miles is quick with the tongue to the face, because other people find it's cute. If you ever watch those Sue videos, she goes into good and bad licking.
