Giving thanks today for so many blessings. Some of which is this wonderful Forum. We've made life long friends here and learned so much about these incredible Dobermans ( show-dogs, rescues, puppies, adoptees, and honorary). We've laughed together and at times cried together, but always, no  matter what.. together..Thank you all for being here, not just for me, but for one another..

I'm wishing each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and looking forward to hearing 'turkey tails' ( tales) tomorrow.

Much love

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends at Gentle Doberman,

We are having great fun and have completely fallen in Amor with Bella.

Everybody in the family loves her too! She is quite well behaved and especially cute when guests bring her new toys.

There is a fantastic dog park in Simi Valley that she has been 3 times and she does real well at the race track and on the playing field there;) Its 1/2 hour away, so we cant take her all the days but she sure knows when we are getting close!

Alot of people recognize her as Doberman, but she is small and she has the markings of a fawn colored Dobie.

More late I am going to post pics, they are still in the camera

Ever heard of a dog that doesnt eat cooked turkey gizzards/ well she played with those livers until i overcooked them and then i grinded them up into a nice gravy with her kibble totw.

Happy leftovers

Happy belated Thanksgiving - we didn't do anything, we were both sick I am much better now but husband is still pretty much sick, if he would stay inside instead of playing in the cold while trying to get better he might actually get better......canceled thanksgiving dinner and postponed it till this Sunday but may have to retry that one too if he doesn't get any better. And I have a huge art sale tomorrow not leaving me with much time for cooking. So we shall see.

I am thankful that I have a forum like this to share my ups and downs with my animal life here, sometimes I feel I am living in nothing more than a rescue zone with all the crates, cats and dogs but I am thankful that they trust me to care for them and that you guys are here to listen when I want to give them all away in one fell swoop hahahahaa. Thankful that people like you understand the grief that never leaves when one of my animals dies and leaves a void in my heart. Thankful that life has given me these years to be who I am and the future years to change who I am for the better every day. May I always bring happiness, joy, compassion and understanding into the lives I touch. Blessings to everyone thank you for being my friends!!!

Hi Talisin,

Sorry you are so sick. Awful to be low energy during the holidays. pets can be good nurses, if you settle in and let them keep you warm and calm:)

We had a small thanksgiving, Bella got to meet some new family members, then yesterday she went 1st time off leash on the fire road with her Goldie pal Toma and us 4 people. She did great, tired out her friend....

This time of year its always the terrible anniversary/ memory of losing Dolly my English Bully that died 20 years ago, I cried for a week after John and I buried her. He died at age 37 1 year later...

Now I am so thankful to have a great husband, a gem of a teeny house and a beautiful new canine baby to spoil.

I love this forum!!! Reading the old posts even is fun and about how the dogs progress into adulthood.

Best of the Best holiday Season to all you new friends and the pets of before present and future.

I'm all better now and in fact turned the living room upside down to scrub and clean and rearrange the furniture today!! feeling much better, but my husband is still sick poor thing, so this weekend we hope to get the lights out and do the thanksgiving dinner thing anyway, he is on the mend just taking longer than it should since he won't pay attention to his sick body.

as for my animals be good nurses - used to be the case - I had two female cats that would lay on the bed and literally hold my hand with their paw while I recouped; this crew though, nope, they see me in the bed and they take that time to get into ear splitting screaming fights and puking hairballs all over the place hahahahahaha, maybe as they age they will get better at not being such snits when I feel bad but still waiting on that one, hahahaha the dogs they do ok, they will just come in and lay down until I move around but they are not allowed on the bed so I lay sickly all alone now, very lonely without my little girls to help me out......

Oh Tal.. glad you're feeling better and hope the hubster is back to his old self soon.. No fun to be puny during holidays.

I think a lot of our kids are uber sensitive to our feelings.. they can read our body language a lot better than we read theirs..LOL

Sofia plays Nurse Rachit whenever one of us are not at our best..I think I have a photo uploaded somewhere ( duh) showing her stretched out beside me and one with her head on Mike's chest helping him get better.

awww, I think I remember seeing one with you when you were sick......I miss my little nursemaids......hubby is not better he may be mending alot slower for some reason - I am fine now and actually have more energy than I have had in about 7 months, so maybe it got rid of some old stuff that needed to exit too......have been doing alot of artwork recently and having a great time doing it.

Still haven't had any thanksgiving type meal.......
