Well guys it's a happy/sad night tonight. Today the girl who agreed to adopt Curiosity came to pick her up :((  I tried to cover everything a good mom would:

I gave her a little tote bag that had a piece of paper with Important Phone Numbers such as mine, the two vets that Curiosity has seen, the emergency hospital's number, along with important dates such as when Curiosity saw the vet for the first time, and what was done the second time along with upcoming dates for her next vaccine and worming

I included a big bag of kitten food along with a syringe filled with the proper amount of the dewormer she was to have this saturday

I sent her off with her little bed that the 3 kittens all slept in

Included the green collapsable tunnel that she found so fun

her favorite toys of sticks, balls, and a stuffed husky dog she would drape over to nap

and a brand new playpen just like the one she had here so she would be in familiar territory

and I put a credit of $50 on her chart at the vets office so her next vaccines would be covered since this girl is a student.

I also told her that there was a full return policy for her whole life, if we couldn't take her we would help her find her a proper home

If she needed any help with the cost of the spay to not hesitate to call me and let me know, and if in the future she needed something emergency wise and it was a matter of cost or euthansia to call us immediately and we would be there......

So have I missed anything other than being a worried mom???  Her siblings Handel and Super Callie are a bit lost tonight without her, they came out in the main house to play and didn't play as hard or run and tackle like they used to, apparently Curiosity was the fire under their butt to play hard.....right now they are curled up with each other asleep.....

So that's it from this end, Ben kissed Curiosity goodbye; even with as many as we still have in the house there is an empty place........she has a great home, this girl LOVES her so much so that's good but dang........

Wow, that's quite a care package you included :)  very generous of you for sure....If you put 1/2 as much thought into finding her new home as you did her gift bag I'd be pretty sure she's set for life!   and I'm kidding I KNOW that you did.  Glad you found a good home and took such care of them all.

THANKS GUYS!!!!! I have been so worried just cause that's what I do when it comes to my babies....but the great news - this girl texted me last night that Curiosity was sleeping in her little bed and then this morning I got a text that Curiosity actually slept in the bed with this girl all night long without any fretting or missing her mom or siblings, she is a grown up little kitty now!!! awwwww......she just now texted me a picture of her in her bed in the playpen and we will be getting together again next thursday for the vaccination day she will bring curiosity and I will be taking these two I have.....I told her she would have to tolerate me for a while wanting to know how she is doing every day for a couple of weeks; this girl has a ferret too and to make curiosity's first few nights comfortable she sent her ferret on a sleep over with some friends that have ferrets that play with hers so Curiosity has a great home!! and helping this girl is ensuring that they both get off to a great start.....and it gets her used to keeping appts. at the vets office and taking curiosity's health seriously and I get to monitor how that goes too, :))

Thanks again for the support and the confidence that I could be a good foster mom for dogs too; animals are like people to me and would not do anything different if I was sending my child away to summer camp etc. and to me they need more care cause they can't speak for themselves so I tried to cover everything that curiosity might need but couldn't ask for.....this is why when one of my animals dies it truly is just like a family member's loss, as they get the same care and consideration I give people.....I have always done this and some people think I'm nuts but others like you guys understand see the point; and each of my animals gets this individual care and I have, oh let me count the cats now that this family is here, oh dang I have 8 cats and a rottweiler and chihuahua and their health issues include - ben's auto immune disorder, chihuahua pepe is a seizure dog; Snaggles is 19 and beginning to show feline age issues she has a growth on her gums and possible bladder cancer; Handel has neurological issues, Fidget has some sort of anxiety issue that causes her to lose weight and throw up; I think that covers it for now. I have had cats with brain tumors, FIP, FIV, Leukemia, seizures, my whippet had gran mal seizures and spinal issues requiring 8 years of monthly treatments; one cat with diabetes requiring shots daily; several with malformed joints etc. etc. My mom has always said that if an animal has a major issue that no one else would care about they will find their way to my home so that they will get the care they need - sometimes I wish I could find that Vacancy sign and turn it off for a bit though :))

And yes you guys can come move in hahahahaha

hahahahahaah we have two of those playpens and they will hold two adults so there you go I have room for everyone I think, hahahahaa,

Just heard from Lindsay and Curiosity is doing great, she found her in the chest of drawers drawer this morning and sent a pic I will post it when I get them uploaded.

Super Callie and Handel love to have their playpen cleaned and reorganized they get so excited  and then when I put them back in they look around and go nuts jumping and rearranging everything with gusto, flipping things over, throwing toys in the water bowl, in the litter box and running through the tunnel and then chasing the tunnel and moving it all over the place so in about ten minutes their neat little place is a disaster and they love it that way, hahahahaa

They are getting big enough to spend more and more time out in the main house with the other kitties but still not secure enough to leave out as they are still testing their jumping skills and have to be monitored to prevent injury, I give them another two weeks and they will be out in the main house for good I hope, that way I can get my living room rearranged the way it should be without a huge pup tent in the middle of it.

Thank you!!! I took the kittens in this past week for their first leukemia vaccine and Lindsay was not able to meet me there with Curiosity due to ride issues.....she doesn't drive.....so I asked the vet assistant if she had heard from her about setting up a new appt. cause when she texted me she said she was going to call the vet and set something up, the vet assistant said no she had not heard from her, so I told her if she didn't hear from her to call Lindsay before closing and if she didn't set up an appt for Curiosity to call me and I would get Lindsay to bring Curiosity over for a sleep over and I would see to it she got in for her vaccines and if she didn't stay in touch with the vet to let me know cause I want Curiosity spayed and I want to ensure Lindsay can afford it and will actually do it. So we shall see......

We are getting an estimate on glassing in our back porch this week so that we can get some sanity back from all the animals. I am so tired of a house full of cats right now, I am hoping if we get that space and put out some birdfeeders that the cats will stay mostly out there to soak up the sunrays through the windows and watch the birds. I want the two person pup tent out of my living room !!!! it's been in here for 3 months now and I want my furniture back in order and all these crates out of here, hahahaha, it looks like a full fledged rescue in here right now....... I work in rescue but I sure didn't want my little house over run by crates - makes using crutches difficult at best......but we do what we have to to keep them all safe and loved :))
