Yo, been a while. I've been busy this year and have had a hard time keeping up with everything, a couple of the dogs are ill and the oldest Dobe is on her last legs (cancer that seemed to pop up overnight) though I'm glad to say she's happy and pain free atm. Just keeping an eye on her. My antisocial Kay made some friends! Not just doggy friends but people friends, too. She's in love with one of my close dog owning friends and she actually enjoys playing with her dogs, which is a new thing for Kay, who's never been a fan of dogs that aren't her immediate family.

Something that gave me a bigger shock than Kay making a friend...she's going grey!?! Our 8 year old Dobe isn't even going grey! Kay's got some cute grey hairs at the front of her muzzle, like a faint moustache. She's only 5!

I hope everyone's well, I've managed to kind of keep up with the forum a bit but we all know what I'm like by now. Haven't had time to get the camera out but seeing as this update is small, I'll include some recent-ish photos of her before skidaddling off again.

Hi Lady Kate, thanks. Tia's doing alright -- she's showing a little discomfort but is happy enough, we're just playing the waiting game at the moment. I briefly debated treatment but she's 8 now, and a sensitive soul. It would likely prolong her life, but she'd be miserable and I'd feel awful if she passed away during treatment while she felt sick. I figure sometime next month we'll have to pop to the vets. She's got an issue with her front leg which flares up after she's exercised hard so we've been limiting her walks and she hasn't been for a good run in a while, so I'll give her that before she's PTS. She can annoy all the people and dogs she wants (and roll in whatever she wants). ;)

Kay's such a great dog, I'm proud as heck of her. Went from being Cujo to Lassie (sort of -- she once coaxed a Boxer puppy that was sprinting toward the main road over to me, so technically she's a hero LOL) and I was sure I'd messed her up like I (inadvertantly!) did the dog before her. She's inspired me to join the (British) Army as a dog handler and start a career breeding (and training) dogs for the public services. It's a shame I like her so much or else I'd leave now. ;)

Greetings, K-9, and thank you.

Thanks DJ's Dad. Please ignore the grim-ness of the couch...It's the dog couch, and people dare not sit there lest they stand with a thousand white Jack Russell hairs clinging to their trousers and bits of dog food in their pockets.
