Well we did it! Sofia is now a svelte 79 pounds!! Vet was very pleased with her.

When we got her almost a year ago, she was topping the scales at 95 lbs. ( puppy weight?)

After having her spayed, she went into that post partum depression and stopped eating or drinking and while almost losing her, she lost 20 pounds.Slowly she got better and put  most of the weight back on. Thanks to the forum ( much better than any Mexico Vet) she was diagnosed with low thyroid and we've been giving her lo-fat/ lo-cal premium dog food and little by little she's now down to optimum. It's great to watch her cavort like a pup and take tall buildings at a single bound. It's been a struggle with thyroid.. other symptoms beside weight gain is involved, pressure on those child bearing hips, funny smell, dry coat and skin, no stamina and no appetite.. all very disconcerting; so I can't tell you  how thrilled we are to see her so healthy and happy. Rgreen, I know you've been challenged with Red and his thyroid..thank you again for the tips and suggestions you've given us along the way.

She got a new purple collar today for not eating the vet or his techs. She's prancing around like she knows how beautiful she is.

where is the new picture of Sofia? A purple collar very fitting for royalty!

Oh yeah we need to see the new pics of her royal majesty with her slim, new figure. I'm sure she'll be very upset with you if you don't...can't wait to see them though! I'm sure Sofie is loving how good she looks!

Well I'm looking forward to seeing them, I'll keep checking:)
