Well its now four weeks since Cleo's operation and she is now allowed 2 x 5 minute walks a day - thank goodness.   She has been really really good but is desperate for some exercise.  I think this time has been much harder than the first time we went through this.   She had her first walk yesterday and had to sniff each blade of grass check out each tree and stop and sniff the air every couple of minutes.

I took this photo of her yesterday in her favourite place outside the kitchen.  She always sits here when I am in the kitchen, patiently waiting to be invited in - I just love her crossed paws.

Such a lady.. Just look at her.. LOVE IT!

Hey.. I was just thinking.. sometimes mental exercise is as important as physical.. have you tried the " "FIND IT" game? It's a lot of fun and helps train for nose work later on if you choose

Get some red solo cups ( nothing says 'party' like Solo cups) put a treat under one of them. and tell Cleo " FIND IT" of course, let her see you put the treat under it at first.. but then switch it around.. it's amazing to watch their minds work and figure things out.. besides that.. you'd be surprised how this works to get some of that energy dispersed..

Glad she's doing so well.. thanks for posting.

Hi Lady Kate

She's an expert at that game, sussed it out immediately.  She is so funny as I am sure she knows to keep her eye on the cup with the treat under it - maybe I need to get the red solo cups ;).   Sometimes I think Cleo is too clever for her own good, she is always one step ahead of me, but then she is a Dobermann.    She got a new toy yesterday a stuffie without any stuffing in it but has a squeaker in the mouth and the tail and she loves it, even took it to bed with her, kept her busy all evening.
