I'm starting to really wonder how big Brody will be.I think his paws just keep growing! Now the hand in the picture is mine,I'm 6' tall, 190 lbs, and wear a glove size lg/xlg.I was looking at him tonight and his paws still look so much bigger than the rest of him.Brody will be exactly 5 months old Dec.10 and already weighs 50+ pounds and is 23 inches tall at his shoulders. His parents were both shown in the ring and were within the normal standards for the breed.Just curious for some feedback. Is it possible to have a fast grower?Maybe he'll slow down growing sooner than usual?Other than his paws, his proportions are excellent.

WOW.. That's like a bear claw. GREAT trim on his nails BTW.

I measured Sofia's paws and they are 3 x4. They're like cat feet. Get out your tape measure and let us know the 'tale of the tape'

Thanks for noticing my Dremmel work.Start them young before they know what hits em!I learned that the hard way with my other dogs though. His paws were 5 inches from the end of his dew pad to the end of his paw, by 3 1/2 inches wide.I hope they're done growing so the rest catches up now.

I'll have to post some new pictures of the rest of him soon.He does this cute thing with his older Dobe sister Zoe where he stands up on her back to raise himself up.Even though he's only about an inch shorter than her now.

What a beautiful family you have. Little Laura is darling. Zoe looks like such the lady!! Brody.. Oh those PAWS!! Wonder if he'll grow into them and just how big he's going to get. He is very handsome and his ears look great. And Maggie.. what a sweetheart!

Bittersweet to see Jake, and I'm glad you included him in your family gallery. You're a good dad..

That is a big paw. I am of the opinion that the males have bigger paws even if they have the same size body as a female. I have no data to support this, however. Its just that I don't remember many of my females with big paws, but have had two of my three males with that. My first male, Hans (1984-1995) was smaller than my first female Windy (1982-1989) but had bigger paws.

The thing is his paws were not all that large, but Windy had the nicest "cats paw" front paws and fairly dainty rear paws. Princess had dainty paws, and while smaller than Red, his paws are much larger than hers.
