Molly will be 5 months in a few short days yet we are still having trouble with potty training. We live in Alaska and she doesn't like to be cold, any suggestions on what we can do to help her potty outside in the cold?
Oh, and we have tried booties but she has such big paws I can't find a good fit without worrying they might hurt her when she runs and she gets distracted by them and just tries to bite them off.

Yes agree try and get a key word or phrase which means 'toilet' so that she knows what it is you want of her. When my pup was younger I'd have to go and stand with her and use the command, now she's a bit older she will go out in the cold and wet without me if I tell her to go outside, and say the command :)

Our maximus from 8 weeks to now 8 months has had only 4 accidents in our newly built home, and they were all human error. Bringing your dog out, and making them pee and at least pretend to poo is so important. This breed is smart, making them know they must expel everything before coming back in is best taught with bringing them to a specified good area by leash, and making them go to the same area Everytime. It's more work for the human, but your pup will learn fast. I bring Maximus out every 2 hours after 6 months, and before was every hour or close too. You learn their schedule and when to expect poo. I also found that if I can't dedicate watching him, or leave he is always kenneled and never ever has had accident while in that. Hope this helps

Oh, and btw I always use one word to teach what command I desire him to perform, such as maximus potty Maximus poop, Maximus outside. Ect
