Been here for a while adding my 2 cents worth to different post and thought I would share my morning pryor to getting on line with G.D.

6 am started our obedience routine and the rain commenced to fall like Noah's hint to build an ark . We continued our lessons ( I figure a great distraction for Jewel ) . She went though her steps not missing a thing . Then we took a break for a little while in hopes the rain would subside but to no avail . Now soaked and me cold (not her ) I take jewel behind the house to a small agility coures I built for her and went through those paces . After about 30 minutes of that I had enough and found a less wet place to wait out the deluge all the while Jewel out in the rain coming under the porch and trying to get me back out with her . She was having a blast ! . All of a sudden I had a great idea . Go get my neighbors lab and bring him in side my fence . An acre of doggy heaven , complete with yard , woods , wild rabbits ( for those worried about the rabbits , don't be , the rabbits are pretty cagy ) and now mud puddles . Well they chased each other for what seemed like ten seconds and turned and looked at me like , your not comming to play ?  So off I go with balls and frisbes in hand and all three of us having a , excuse the pun , ball . Close to two hours of playing with the dogs and still raining the wife calls to me and ask if I'm nuts . Thinking maybe she's right to ascertain such a thing I brough my neighbors lab back home dried him up saying thanks and hosed down and dried Jewel to bring her inside .

Jewel is laying beside me as I tap on the key board looking up from time to time as though she's asking " you done yet , lets go outside again "

My wife may be right because we'er going out to play in the rain again .

Just wanted to share , Woof !

Sounds like you guys had quite a blast!  I too will admit to having a good romp in the rain with Kratos, since it's so rare in AZ we absolutely love it when we get some showers!

Oh Gunslinger.. How you made me laugh.. what a great story and even a better visual!!

Jewel is exactly that.. a jewel!!

Sofia actualy waited 12 ( twelve) hours, before Her Ladyship would go out in the rain.. ( and that was only happeing if her minions would hold an umbrella over her royal head)

Have fun in the rain..

If it is raining I have to take my two prima donnas out front. They have more trees, plus the shelter over the porch. They will go down the steps, but HRH will run around until she feels a rain drop and then back up on the porch without doing her duty. I have to get an umbrellas, but I hold it over me, not her. If I am down there in the rain, they will run around until they have to go. I don't do it except in the rain because there is no fence in front.

Once they get their tushes damp they are ready to come back in.

Hee, hee; I can relate.  This time of year, the grass is pretty dewy in the morning - or after a rainfall.  Ginger hates getting her feet wet.  She will walk all along the pavers instead of walking on the grass.  Then she'll work her way over to an area under a tree where it's usually dryer and go there.  A couple of times she's gone right on the pavers, which is really unusual.  They really are very dainty and elegant, despite their size.

Dakota doesn't hate the rain, but won't go outside unless I do as well... Luckily we're training her to go under our big pine tree, so I can run out there and stay fairly dry.  I also have a gazebo in the backyard which is a dry area to hang out.  As far as playing in the rain?  I don't know how much she'd go for that lol
