Kevin that was my thought also when I first saw the name.

Livelaughlove1 - They are so precious at that age, and just think in 5 weeks he will be a little devil getting into everything. But that phase also will pass, and the the stilts start growing. We will all want to see picture of him and Bella on a regular basis.

Thank you for your kind comments about both Bell and Mopar.. Yes we are a dodge family at heart but the final descision on his name was made by my husband after the kids and I made a few choices.. lol

Bella is truly the heart and soul of our family and luckily as a puppy she never became the Dober Devil I hear so much about. We kept her very busy and never allowed her to run out of chew toys :) I believ she will do very well when our new lil guy gets to come home because she gets plenty of interatcion with other dogs, cats and even a few cows at the vet a few days ago.. lol That in itself was hysterical.. Her normal playmate is a huge mastiff who belongs to my best friend and although he tries he can not keep up with her energy.. I feel poor Mopar will be tuckered out by her playing..

Heres a cute pic of Bella and her buddy Diesel at our old home last winter..

I keep trying to talk my wife into another dobe pup . So far unsuccessful . I must sound like a little kid to her .

" Mama , Mama ! can I , can I ! Huh , Huh , Huh ! Awe maaannnnn ! "

Congrats on your new addition !

Thanks GunSlinger! I am lucky enough that if we could afford a fe wmore my husband would not care.  Because of Bella we have fallen in love with the Doberman breed and my landlord (cousin) said I could have as many as we wanted as long as they were taken care of as well as Bella is :)

The breeder we got her from was a close friend of my husbands in Florida and he has 13 adults that run the property. We even got to meet her grandma and grandpa when she picked me out..

We havea huge fenced in back yard and fields all around us for taking hikes besides all the trips we make to the state parks. The closest neighbor is also family and they raises yorkies.. lol Funny having lil dogs out front barking away and then you turn and see Bella watching you over the fence quietly.. SMILING as we call it..

I've always had two at a time and I wouldn't want it any other way. They share a terrific bond that just can't compare to their humans. As long as they understand you are the leader. It can also be a great help with seperation issues and help them deal with the boredom if they are home alone.

Patriot - I couldn't agree more. When I let Princess out of her crate, the first place she goes is not toward the door, but to find Red. If I let Red out first he goes to her crate and waits. Then they go out together.

In the evening, when the spunky youngster wants to go out and play some more and the old man is just wanting to relax on his pad, she will go to the door and change her mind and go back and bug Uncle Red some more.
