Hi All....  Sasha is my 4mth old female dobie..  She is my first.  I got Sasha this past Labor Day weekend. When I went to get her, she was meek/shy/afraid while her sister was happy/curious/energetic.  I chose Sasha because I thought she might get left behind since she was so reserved...  I couldn't let that happen...  I took her to my vet on Tuesday after Labor Day for shots and checkup.  I learned that Sasha had Pneumonia and hook worms.  My vet is wonderful and after many visits and meds, she's on the mend...  she's gaining weight and her Pneumonia is looking better...  She then got tape worms...  which more shots, testing, meds were needed.  She's been a trooper tho..

Now Sasha is quite the handful....  Acting every bit of what her Doberman puppy heritage warned us about! :)    It melts my heart when I look at her and know that if I had not brought her home, she most likely wouldn't be here today.  The most interesting thing about Sasha is that she is soooo lovey.  My grandaughter is 5.   Her and Sasha act like siblings.. Aggrevate each other then best buddies!   It is so weird that every time (and I mean every time) she falls asleep with me or my grandaughter; she always has one of her front legs over you...  like she's holding you....  Craziest thing ever...  Everytime.!  I guess that pretty much says she  doesn't sleep in a crate or dog bed....

I'm so proud of Sasha and want to do all the right things a Doberman owner should do.  That is one of the main reasons I joined GentleDoberman.  I hope to learn from others while sharing experiences I have with Sasha.

Thanks for reading about my baby girl.

I look forward to being a part of this group.

Thanks so much.  So glad I found this site.   Does anyone else have a  baby doberman that jumps at food like it's the last on earth?   It's so funny;  we call her "Fish out of water " .  Wish I could record & post it.....

Glad to hear she's in a good home with lots of love and attention. Her little hip bones were sticking out in a few of the pictures :(

Just make sure to get her to a good weight and maintain, even as she's growing! Don't wanna put too much stress on those puppy bones!

Does she jump at her food or all food? That would be a good one to get under control before she weighs any more and can knock someone over!

congrats and welcome :)
