Hahaha---I remember reading on another thread here on Gentle Doberman where Kate (I think it was) mentioned something about all our dogs and our furniture matched each other.  Here's proof positive that MINE do, anyway.  Ziva was being very sleepy and had her blankie with her because it's really cold here in Indiana today.

Paul, you should enter the Diva-Ziva in some of the contests. She is stunning..

funny thing tho-- there is another Ziva's Dad on the Doberman Talk Forum..( you were the one who pointed that out to me a while back when I thought I saw her there...) She's not half as pretty as 'ours'

Well, thanks so much for the compliment.  Yeah, on DT, I'm listed as "2Dobies", and at the time I joined, years ago, I did have 2 doberman females.

@Patriot:  Thanks.  It's a Panasonic FZ8, it's not a big expensive DSLR, just a good "point & shoot"--no big deal, but I really love my camera

What a beautiful girl!!!  I wasn't sure where the topic would lead and hesitated to click - glad I did - many years back I worked for a vet hospital and there was a client who came in one day with her dalmation and left it with me and stomped out of the hospital saying she didn't want the dog anymore cause she had had her house redecorated and the dog didn't match her stuff anymore.  I wasn't sure whether to chase her and beat her or count my blessings that she thought enough to bring us the dog so I did the latter,

Anyway, glad I clicked this post that's what I call having a great match to the furniture.

If I decide not to get a dobe I can at least live vicariously through all the great dogs here.

Ziva's Dad, Great picture, she is beautiful.  I just saw the pic of her smiling with her puppy teeth...sure that's the same dog?

And Talisin, why would you decide not to get a dobie?

Oh Chris if you only knew the heartache that I have been through this past year trying to rescue one, I am so disheartened and surprised by the response from the local rescue - (the only one that will adopt to my area due to needing home checks has been difficult to say the least), NC is a big state and there are only 2 rescues and only one comes this far, other states refuse to send one to NC understandably.

And I want to provide the proper environment for a dobe so if I find that my environment is not best then I won't try to force my lifestyle on the dog - the dog should indicate what he/she needs and I am to provide that to the best of my ability and if I can't then I don't need to adopt a dobe.

That means I would love to have a doberman but if I am not the right home then I can accept that and this forum has been a wonderful source for easing my mind on some of the issues that the rescue is demanding as far as exercise etc. I feel alot better about having a pretty quiet, laid back household, not much goes on here, we are not active so I was about to decide I would be a terrible dobe parent due to that, but thanks to the posts I might rethink that.

Tal is in

And once again Ziva is beautiful!!

Miss Ziva is freaking ADORABLE!!  I love that sleepy face...You all have seen how Dakota matches my ugly couch haha though not by choice!!  Although I do plan to redecorate I DO NOT plan to replace Dakota with one that matches my new stuff, UGH Tal what a terrible story!  Seriously, who does that!?  I would have been like Lady, are you for real?  but good on you for looking at it in a positive light, I'm sure that poor dalmatian was happier without her anyway!!
