So we have started playing nosework games with Dakota, she loves it so much! We really haven't done anything she doesn't love, but she gets super excited when we play! Here's a quick video of her this morning, I hid a treat out in the yard, and he is her finding it. The video is short because it was done with my phone and only records 30 seconds, and she finds it at the very end. She's getting pretty good, I'm going to keep playing and helping her develop her senses. The best part was, after a few times of this in the yard and at the beach, we went home, she got a drink of water, and went into her kennel and passed out.

WOW... Fantastic work!! She is just SO smart.. thanks for posting!! ( much better than the barking dog one!!)

Sofia is spending the day with her dad and the Merry Workers.. Back and forth to the new house, supervising the roofing ( she's not too fond of the tar smell) , off to the hardware store...back to make sure the outlets are where we want them. She's in Heaven!

Dakota is amazing!  I love the way you are training her!

Another good 'nosework game' to play with your dog is to hide a treat under a box and have several boxes turned upside down to give him/her several choices.  Dont make it too easy---it's the mental challenge coupled with the scent training that keeps the dog interested in the game.  (A good rainy day game for you and your dobie.)
