Well its a balmy 10 degs and windy here in Southwest PA, I feel like we are in Anartica with the wind. Needless to say The Kid is not pleased. He has decided that sweaters make him look silly and has chewed a hole right in the chest (picture the dober head tuck -that's exactly where the hole is) of his adorable green and blue striped one he got this past weekend. So back to the point of this. He will not go to the bathroom whilst outside he just runs back to the door and shivers.... if i put him on a leash he just stands there and shivers and whines this pathetic whine.... He had 3 accidents last night (they really weren't accidents though since he refuses to go while outside)

This morning we played for a while and then after 3 attempts to take him out - I put him on the couch with me and cuddled him til he fell asleep. I then picked him up in all his sleepy glory and plopped him outside in the snow... Instant pee while half asleep! Hey whatever works I guess!

I attached photo of him in his sweater right after we came back inside... I of course let him back on the couch until I had to leave to go to work...

Oh Mandy.. how can you leave that adorable little guy??? (Well duh, I guess I know the answer to that one.. same reason we all leave to go to work..... so we can buy new sweaters to replace the ones they eat!)

It looks like he's saying:

" Right Mom.. you puts me in this sweater.. I takes the whooooole sofa!!"

Too precious and great way to start my day. thank you.. BTW HOW do you get photos in the body of the message??? All I know how to do is add to Sofia's Gallery

When he is on the couch he stretches as far as he can so we have no room!

You have to get a photobucket account to post pics on the threads. Then upload picture and copy the image tag and paste into comment.

Glad I could start your day off well!

XOXO

Mandy and Cisco too!

Cisco looks so handsome in his sweater!  Ziva will wear coats that are open along the bottom edge ONLY when she goes outside and it's super cold or snowy, but she was never one to allow a sweater to go over her head and remain intact.  She has done the "dober head tuck" and eaten a sweater and a very nice red webbed nylon harness off of herself before, also.

Just wait till those legs stretch from one end of your couch completely to the other end---they love to claim the couch as their own personal property.

I got him a coat and it it still too big- I will try and put it on him again today and snap a photo... It will fit him soon... And since he will need it well into March or April here he will get use of it!

Those legs grow every night I swear! I am going to measure and weigh him tonight if I can as he is approaching 15 week mark.

What an adorable guy cisco is!  Dakota is on the same page as him, she looks at my like are you freaking kidding?  It's FREEZING out here!!!  I really don't blame them...I would hate to have to drop trou in snowy -12 C weather too!

Love the sweater, is that a pocket I see??  It'll be so funny to see it "shrink" up his back as his body grows longer!

Mine don't like going out and it's only 20F in the early morning in S. Georgia. What happened to our Global Warming? I don't ever remember a cold spell like this before. We have had a few days like this in the past, but not so many.

Princess does not like the cold, but she is not as relucant to go out as Red is. I open the door and Red sticks his nose out and starts to back out. I stand behind him and give him a small push and he goes on out. It's a little harder to pick up a 110 pound Doberman and carry them out, so I have to push at times.

I would almost appreciate some global warming at this point...it's been -12 C here all week and we've gotten 30cm of snow in the last 2 days with 25 more on the way tonight!  Luckily Dakota LOVES the snow or I can only imagine the battle it would be to get her outside!  Does anyone make their dogs wear booties in the winter?  I worry about her feet being cold especially on long walks but the boots just look so...silly.  :p

Thank you sweetpea and yes it has a pocket! I put a treat in there yesterday and he ran in a circle for 15 minutes I swear until it fell out! He couldn't quite reach it! The Sweater Hole is now the entire length of his chest!  I will keep putting it on him as I know it does help still... As for the booties... He would disown me!

rgreen - I can't believe how cold it has been- I was thinking with the hot summer maybe we would have a mild winter - I guess not- I am going to have to start pushing soon. He is getting too heavy for me as I have Fibromyalgia and Bursitus... Its hard to pick him @30lbs...

that's so cute!  we tried putting a T-shirt on Rocky and it took him about 20 seconds to chew a hole through the chest and rip it off..haha  I guess he's not cold!

He doesn't seem to mind the cold but it's really only gotten down to about 28 a few times here so far this year.  We usually have a pretty cold week or two in the winter so we'll see then but so far he doesn't seem to even notice if it's 30-40 when it's walk time or he wants to play outside.
