So, we have had Bandit since Tuesday, and he acts like he has lived here and known us forever. He is already my little velcro dog. I thought I would share this video of him! He has already learned how to sit on command in 2 days of training... Wow dobermans are SMART!!! Not to mention, this was while we even had company over - he put on a show (in a good way, he was so impressive and well behaved!)

Smart little guy.  Dobies LOVE to show off their skills and hear praises for doing so.  Keep up the good work.  Pump as much training into him as you can....slowly, in 5 minute increments, while he's still very young.  All the training you put into him will result in a mannerly, obedient dog that will be a JOY to be around.

Listen to what DJ's dad is saying!

We love Max to death, and he learns EVERYTHING in a day or less of training. Which leads him to being bored a lot, and causes him to act out in public. Which is why he's on the list to be trained by one of our friends (and local police dog trainer).

Just remember, whatever you have him doing at 15lbs, he will still do whenever he is a 90lbs Doberman.

Best of luck!

Thank you all!! He is so smart and learns so quickly I know he is going to be keeping me on my toes with trying to find good ways to keep him stimulated enough to keep him from being destructive.

He is definitely a handful... my gosh today was a hard day (thank god he does amazing at sleeping all night)

I work from home, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get ANYTHING done during the day unless he is napping!

I spoke to a trainer today, and on October 28th we will be starting basic obedience classes, which will be great for him and us.

I am definitely looking forward to when he is a grown, well mannered dog - thats for sure!
