Hello everyone!! Its been a long time since Ive been on here! My puppy is getting so so big so so fast. Shes 6 months old now and almost 60lbs. Shes bigger than my 4year old and yet shes the biggest baby! Shes absolutely spoiled rotten. But very smart and listens well. We have most basic training down. I really need to get her in a class soon or with a private trainer. Its so obvious she wants to learn more. We are still working on "heel" and walking together better! haha but I guess shes old enough for me to try the pinch collar now. Im so so glad we got our dobie. Shes the best edition to our family. My husband already wants us to look into getting a male next!! I think we have officially converted to a doberman family! Thanks for all your wonderful forums and advice here!!

Oh I did have one question and Ive been looking through the forums and cant find a specific answer. For the most part Baja does not jump up on people and is fairly calm for a puppy that is. When we come home she will sit and wait for everyone to come pet her. Shes never jumped up on me or the kids. But we have jack russell dogs as well. And it seems when they are around she completely forgets everything. So when we let them inside w her she wants to play obviously. So she will forget the kids are even standing beside her or near her and will completely run them over or knock them down to get to the other dogs. I have stopped her and made her sit and told her we have to easy. I just wonder what yall would recommend for these situations. Its usually only when the other dogs are brought in or we are getting ready to let her out to play with them. And maybe sometimes when we are getting her food ready for her.  After her bowl is ready she has to sit and wait calmly before i will sit it down but in the process of making it shes running around like crazy with no cares if the lil girls are around or not. Thanks

She's a baby and is excited and has no concept of her size.  Maybe try putting her on a leash and letting them in where she can't play but gets used to them being around while sitting and being calm.   Pick a word like 'Gentle' and have her sit and say that when they are near calmly.  When she starts to get a little excited a quick snap of the collar and repeat Gentle....don't let her play when she's not being gentle.  if you let her do it sometimes but not others you're just confusing her.

Hi MandeeRN,

My husband and I just got our doby Zoe and she is 8 weeks old and is just as cute as a button and we have both fallen in love with her.

Baja is a pretty girl and she looks so well taken care of, that I was wondering if you wouldn't mind answering some questions I have about puppy shots and vaccinations and ear cropping.  I noticed the really nice head gear Baja had on during her healing stages.  Where were you able to find one?

Thx
