Just curious.. If you all have time I would like to know how old your dobermans are and the current weight. If they are adults do you remember When they stopped growing?

I am trying to find out if Bellas weights average for her age -or is she over weight - and so forth. Even though a woman never shares how much she weighs I think in this case since she is still a puppy it will be okay

Bellas - Age - (0h my I can't believe I am telling the age) Divas just dont do this but since she is one in training.. I think she can share her age..

Age -15 weeks  almost 4 months - current weight - 48 lbs.

So whats your opinion.. are we on the right path..

Rhonda

Ps. sorry for all the posts and pics and so forth.. I am going stir crazy locked in this house.. lol Snow - Snow please go away!!

Well, Zelda's almost 12 weeks old, but the last time we weighed her was back a month ago and she was 8.4, but now she feels a LOT heavier than my miniature poodle, so i'm guessing more than 12lbs? Maybe almost 20? I 'unno. Dad's going to take Zelda to the vet tomorrow, so we'll see.

Princess weight records:

12 Weeks        21lbs

14 Weeks        23lbs

16 Weeks        28lbs

5 mo (21 wks) 42lbs

6 mo              50lbs

But, Princess was/is a smaller Doberman which pleases me a good deal. Her adult weight is 70 pounds vesus Red who weighed 112 at his last vets visit.

I came across some old records and at the age of 16 weeks, Red weighed 44 pounds. Be prepared Bella is definitely going to be a big girl, and Cisco is going to be a big boy.

Harley is 3 and weighs 90 lbs. He stopped growing taller at about 20 months and stopped filling out at about 2 1/2. I thought he was never going to stop growing. He was 70 lbs (and a little thin) at 14 months when my grandpa first got him.

Dakota is 7 months and 59 lbs, and she is 23" tall at the shoulder.  Her weight gain started to slow down about a month ago, now she only gains about a pound a week.  Still steady but not growing by leaps and bounds anymore that's for sure!

I kept a record of Ziva's weight and

at 12 weeks, she was 19 lb,

at 4 months she was 38 lbs,

11 months she was 75 lbs,

and now she is just a week shy of being 1 yr 4 months and she weighs 80 lbs and is around 27" at the withers.  She's a tall, leggy girl and it seems that she has stopped growing any taller for the past couple of months, but is slowly filling out between her first and 2nd year.

I figured I was getting a big boy- If he goes to 110ish- I can deal with that- any bigger I may have to get a bigger house (lol) I am seeing Clifford again! I can't believe Bella is that big already! Wonder who will end up the bigger big dog The Kid or The Diva-in-Training!?!?!?

Laith is 5 months and 50 pounds. He may be a little over that now.

He has gained about 10lbs a month. As far as size, somedays I see him grow overnight.

She sounds on schedule!

We're really not sure of Sofia's age, and of course, she's not saying.. we think  somewhere between five and seven.

She stands almost 29 inches at the withers and tops the scales at 80 lbs.

He is already taller than most full grown dogs.. and my house?  Is NOT that big.. lol... people always go, "Oh, what a nice dog you have!" and I have to answer, "Uh.. YEAH.. he's still a puppy."  Then the eyes get really large, the mouths drop, and my favorite line from them men I run into when I'm running him around the neighborhood, "You'll never have to worry about anything when he's with you."  If people already are crossing the street to avoid the evil doberman and the tiny woman.. what are they going to do when he's 110 pounds?!

Holy smokes Jes, he is going to be enormous!  I'm glad Dakota won't get that big, I don't think I could handle that much dog, and I admire those of you who can!!

Wow Jes Steve is going to be pretty expensive lol All that Dog Food!

Mandy wish you lived close ~ could you imagine Bella & Cisco on a play date. They are around the same weight. Oh and what trouble they would get into. Although Bella also wishes Romeo lived closer to lol

Laiths mom / dad..  I feel the same way about Bella its like overnight she has grown. It is truely amazing. I wonder if they go through some sort of growing pains.. has anyone heard of that?

Ralieghs dad - I know this is off the subject but just wonder how Ralieghs ears are doing?

Wow - Reds one big dog.

Ziva has the best looking ears ever!! What a gorgeous dobey.

Uncle Buddy - Can you believe Aunt sofias mom told her weight and age! Shes going to be upset with you Kate - You know how Divas are. Be prepared for the "I am ignoring you attitude" lol

Its so funny how these dogs are all so big yet big babies at heart. I have taught Bella how to open her mouth wide open.. so I can see her teeth. It's so funny I will say "let mama see your teeth and she goes ahhh" looks like shes yawning.  and will leave her mouth open until I finish.. Now when she's tipping 80 or 90 lbs & opens her mouth while my fingers are sticking in her mouth, Now that will look funny!

I really love all the names.~ Dakota - Harley - Princess - Zelda  What great names

Rocky fairly closely followed the 10 lbs per month rule until 7 months old.  he's now a week away from 1 year stands 28 1/2 tall (all legs - he's like a gazelle) and weighed about 82lbs 5-6 weeks ago...I'd guess he's hit 85 by now, he's due to be weighed again next week.

Fancy was 14 lbs at 9 weeks.  I just weighed her (Phew she's heavy) at 21 weeks now, she's 46 lbs.  She doesn't grow at an exact rate, but seems to catch up, but it's usually about 2 1/2 lbs a week.

Yes Rhonda I cant believe Ldy Kate told the Divas weight..lol....but Lady Kate , Buddy told me to tell you to tell the Diva that...'Buddy is secure enough with his studness, he can handle a female taller than him, but he is glad you don't weigh more"...**ear licks and eskimo nose kisses**

People, you don't really know what a Clifford is. Two years ago, Red weighed 147 pounds. I had him in for his checkup and the vet was scolding me for over feeding him. My response was that he was only getting 3 cups of measured dog food a day, and that is when the vet realized something was wrong. We did a full blood workup on him and discovered he had a thyroid condition, and has been on Thyrosyn ever since. As his weight started to come off, I increased his food intake so he would lose weight slowly.

We got him down to 95 pounds after about 9 months, at which point I felt he was too skinny. Imagine that for a minute, seeing the rib outlines on a Dobie that weighs 95 pounds. We got him back up to the 100-105 range at which point you could no longer see the outlines of his ribs and he was eating about 6 cups of dog food a day.

He has always had the Seefood diet - he sees food and he inhales it. The Thyrosyn has done nothing to tone down his appetite, it only increased his metabolism. Before Red, I was accustomed to free feeding most of my dogs, but he put an end to it, as he would eat his (in about 10 seconds) and then help the others finish theirs. Princess gets 5 cups a day served to her in her crate, to protect her food from Red. She gets served first and Red second in another room.

Oh, and on his last visit, he weighed 112, because I had cut his kibble ration back a bit. He had weighted 116 on his previous visit only three weeks before.

Raven is about 14 weeks and I weighed her last night and she is 24.8. Cisco at 17 weeks is 44.2- he actually lost about 1.5 since his 4 month mark last week... But he was sick over the weekend and was puking and not eating much- I am sure he will get that back!
