For anyone in the Western NC area, James and I will be at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, NC, Sunday morning.  Dobermans show at 10:45, Wire Haired Pointing Griffons at 11:00.  Sorry, Tal, the Rotties are at 8:30, I believe - a little too early for me!  Twenty five Dobes are on the entry list - that should satisfy my need for gorgeous dogs for a little while.

Come watch with us!

Yes, probably.  Saturday's are hard to find extra time for us - especially in the mornings.  We work at the Mills River Farm market (come see us some time!) in the mornings and since I wanted to see the Dobermans, we went Sunday instead.

I figured you were bonding with Sampson and wouldn't be getting away much this weekend, but the June show is a possibility.

I saw two "firsts" for me at a confirmation show - a natural eared Doberman in the ring and a blue & rust in the ring.  The natural eared dog, of course, didn't place, but its a start.  The blue dog was an agility/obedience dog and it was his first time in cofirmation and got some sort of ribbon (I'm not familiar with the was confirmation shows work - I just love to see all the beautiful dogs).

We bumped into friends from our obedience school, too.  It was a lot of fun.

Where is the Mills River Farmers Market?? what road or a landmark

Sampson is great I leave him whenever I have to run errands I don't change my schedule up too much I want him to immediately know what I do and don't do, and he sleeps ALL the time hahahaha so he doesn't miss me much.... he is getting territorial about the fence line though a bit stressful

Sorry I missed the dobermans I did get to see two a black and one red

Come down Airport Rd past the Ag Center towards Brevard.  There's a new Ingles in Mills River on your right.  Just beyond two traffic lights past the Ingles you will see G&B Energy Center on the right.  The market is in the parking lot right there in front.  We have lots of signs and banners out beginning at the Ingles.

There's not a lot of produce yet, but some great local grown veggie plant starts, ornamental plants, eggs, beef, asparagus, local handcrafted jewelry (very reasonable), soaps, coffee, candles.  Its open 8-noon on Saturdays from now until October.

Last year we had a booth who made really nice fabric collars, leads and harnesses, but I haven't seen him this year.

There, now the whole forum knows where to find me on Saturday mornings!

Its just down the road from the Food Lion - not even half a mile.  The new Ingles is huge.  Its an unfortunate statement about Mills River that its also the best restaurant in town.  Chinese, subs, sushi, pizza, and prime rib on Fridays.  Giant olive bar with wings and decent chili, too.

When it first opened, the beer section had us just standing and staring.

And its 5 minutes from my house.  And one morning I saw a bear within sight of the store (maybe he was heading for the beer section!).  One of the reasons I love Mills River.

hahahahaha I am so glad the bear that was here is not hanging around anymore

so this place must be around dollar general before turnpike light

odd that we live so close and haven't run into each other!!! I used to go to the little roadside produce stand past the BP station on the left the produce was just past Corvette Drive on the right she is usually open until around november that's where I got Ben's tomatoes so this farmers market would be closer. We looked at property on Kimsey road......

We used to live in NC. I would've loved going to some of the shows that I see you all talk about on here.  We live in Oklahoma now though.  *sigh*.
