I picked up this 6 month old boy about a week ago. The owner had not posting his ears in over two weeks because they were standing (well only sort of), but since he is teething they were starting to drop again so I needed to post them more. His first posting at my house lasted 3 days before the other puppy grabbed tape just right and unraveled a part of it. His ear looked pretty good then, but I quickly just reposted it and didnt look at it compared to the ear. I took it down on day 5 from the original posting day to let them air out and see how they are looking. They seem to be standing well but his left ear seems to be turned out more then his right, but starting clear down at the base. I will attempt to add some pictures so you can see what I mean. Maybe I am just being too picky, or maybe you have an idea on how to correct it.

an update in case anyone else come across something like this. I left him unposted all night since there really isnt much flop. By this morning it is twisted back into a normal position. It seems the muscles just needed time to realign properly and I must have posted the ear in a slightly awkard position last time.

Hello, first off you have a beautiful boy! :) I've tried many ways of posting my pups ears and the one thing that worked for me Was simply straws! All you have to do is take the straw tape it with some athletic tape to a gauze then back tape it to have the sticky side out put it into the dogs ear (if he yelps don't worry, it doesn't hurt it's just freaking them out) then tape the straw to the ear, NOT TO TIGHT please Becuase you don't want to cut off the circulation to the dogs ear, it will stay. The dogs ear will correct itself with the proper post it's not to late at the moment. But in a couple months it might be. So start now!

Beautiful baby boy. Ears look fine. Out vet didn't post ears (wierd for us who raised these babys for 20 years & ears were always posted.) He simply places medical tape along the edges of the sutured ears. Three weeks & ears were perfect so perhaps just tape edges? Just an idea.
