My Doberman is 11 wks old, and I want to have his ears cropped. Can anyone suggest a reputable vet in N. Dallas, TX? Thank you!

There is a Doberman Pinscher Club in Dallas. Their website is a little clunky, but their officers are listed with e-mail addresses. You could try emailing a few with your request. You probably won't get a response from all, but you might get a response from one. Basically, these clubs are not pet owners, but those who breed and show the the dog.

If you already have a vet, have you discussed this with them. If they don't do ear cropping, they should know the others in their area.

ssraby,

I'm checking out a vet in Alvarado, Tx who was recommended by a couple of people.  He is very reasonably priced and I've seen one set of ears that looked nice.  Go online for more info at Alvarado Vet Clinic, 817.783.2257.  It's south of Ft. Worth, but price would more than pay for gas!  They keep the pup overnight and he prefers age to be 12-16 weeks< I think.

Good luck,

we're on the same path.

Barbara

Great Deal ssraby if it checks out, it is only about 40 miles. I drive about half that to my vet and we're in the same county. Besides, most Texans I know are road runners anyhow. I claim Texas as my home state although not born there. We moved to Harlingen when I was 7 and Houston when I was 10. Learning to drive in Texas, I loved to drive and and hour or two on the road are nothing to me. When I come back to East Texas to visit, the people over here are surprised that I make it one day.

I went to school in that little town of College Station and liked it so well that after I got out of the Navy, I went back and got my Masters.
