What country are you posting from??.. There's some wonderful information on this forum re: ear posting.

It requires a lot of homework and research before it's even considered..Four months might be a little late for this, plus you want to be sure she's completley well before any procedures.

Thanks for all your input.. It helps us help you and the bottom line is .. it helps Spicey

chvarun1990 - No, the ears need to be cropped between 9 and 12 weeks before the cartilage hardens but after the ears are thick enough to stand shortly after the surgery. It should be done by a very experienced vet.

Well just think of all the premium puppy food you can get for her instead!! Four months is too late to crop. She will be fine as soon as her meds kick in and she gets some nutrician..

thanks for listening.

Nope.. she'll hear just fine.. Even dogs  with adorable floppy ears can hear you walking towards your house a block away

Sofia always lets me know when Mike is coming home almost five minutes before he gets here..

we got dakota at 3 months, and we felt it was a little late to crop... we got mixed answers, and since we weren't really for or against it either way, we decided to leave her floppy.  She's super cute!

She will do just fine with floppy ears, just check the ear canal periodically and ensure they are dry and clean. Remember that a cropped Dobie is one of the few dogs in the world with short standing ears.
