Well after much debate and getting fed up with Ares picky eating habits we switched to a very healthy raw diet ! And yes he's finally actually interested in his meal and gets excited about eating woohoo ! I still continue with the coconut oil to feed as well as making sure I spray him down twice a week needless to say the boy is looking marvelous !

I've had Harlow on raw for the last 5 months and will never go back to kibble! So glad Ares is doing well on it.

So far so good ! It was a pain to get him to want to eat his kibble he started to look really skinny so this is our last option ! Any tips or advice ?

Wow.. he's stunning..

Give it time and you'll figure out the amounts he needs.... huge change to raw and how I wish I could do it here.. not an option in Mexico..

Thank you lady Kate he's really adapted to his diet easier then anything. No runny poop, and he has had absolutely no more nasty gas since being on it. We're figuring out how much to feed as we go lol he tried red meat today he loves it, but I'm definitely not going to over do it with that since is heavier on the stomach but so far so good.

And THAT is what a raw food diet will do!

He is gorgeous. There's no coat like one on a raw fed dog. You can really tell.

My dogs have eaten raw since Lib was diagnosed with IBD. They had/have absolutely gorgeous coats. My Aussie shines so much someone asked me if he'd just come from the groomer. She was shocked when I told her he'd not only never been to one, but has never had a complete bath. (He gets combed ALL the time - lots of hair! LOL!)

Even if you pick a high quality kibble, and pour a raw "soup" over it, you'll see a big shine to their coat.

I've read a few bad reviews online about Blue Ridge Beef, but have had no problems with it, and they have all kinds of different proteins so I can switch things up frequently. Duck, quail, rabbit, venison, chicken, turkey, beef and lamb. They all include ground bone. I really like adding it to Honest Kitchen's base mixes. BRB has distributors all over east of the Mississippi. Much cheaper than anything you can buy at a pet food store - about half the price of my local store.

I've also fed Honest Kitchen's dehydrated with meat - it's a bit pricier, but Gabe loves it - he gobbles it up. It's nice to have on hand if you get really busy and want to fix something quick. Just add warm water.

Dr. Becker from Mercola.com has written a good book on feeding raw...

I see right now she also has a free e-book on healthy treats for pets!

Lol thanks! He does look amazing I'm very happy with the results especially the no more rank gas ! We're experimenting as we go. I'm going to order more from reelrawdogs.com. I love watching him use his brain on how to eat certain meats. Today he had a turkey neck, half pound of London broil, a tripe sheet and half a cow heart :) lol my dog eats better then me I did a purée of spinach, carrots, blueberries and a bit of ground beef so he would eat it. So far were both loving it :)
