Hi, all! Rubie just turned 6mos old and is currently 40lbs. I know that all pups grow at different rates, even within a litter, but it does seem a bit petit. She's been fed Solid Gold since we brought her home and currently gets a little more than 4 cups of food a day. Her skin and nails are lovely and her poo is consistent. Can't see her ribs but they can be felt. I'm curious as to how much other pups weighed at 6mos old just out of curiousity! We keep her very active - because a tired puppy is a good puppy.

Athena will be 6 months on July 10th. She is very petite too. She is not even 40lbs. I spoke to the breeder and her dad was a petite pup as well. Athena won't eat more than 3 cups of food a day and we are pretty active as well. It might have to do with genetics? I can't figure out how to post a pic but you can look in my gallery if you want. I kind of like the smaller look. They look more sleek and athletic to me. :) Rubie is sure cute!

My girl was also about 40 lbs at 6 months. She is now 2 yrs, beautifully proportioned, lean, shiny, active and healthy. She weighs 58 lbs and I just love her "smaller" size.

40 pounds is probably a little on the smaller side of the standard, but she looks healthy and happy. She will continue to grow a little and fill out.

My 6 yo boy was a scrawny 60 lbs when i rescued him. He is now an 85 lb healthy dog. He is 28 inches tall.

Thank you, all, for your replies! Someone made a snarky comment a couple of months back about her petit size and that I "probably stunted her growth" which I found to be an absurd thought and was quite offended but now I worry CONSTANTLY about how big she is! Her sister is 'bigger' but I think she's fed a LOT so her bigness comes from being a little wider. As long as she's healthy, I'm happy!

I think Rubie is beautiful!!   She is obviously healthy.

I can’t wait to see what Khan weighs at 6 months.   He is growing fast, and will be the largest dog I have owned.  I am absolutely amazed by his growth.  He has gained 9 lbs since we got him 17 days ago.
