My 7 month old seems to want to eat and eat and I'm worried she is getting too heavy. She's eats twice a day Pro Plan dry puppy food (total of 6 cups) and we add just a little soft food. We just cut her back to 5 cups, but she acts like she's starving. She gets treats throughout the day and some carrots and bananas. Can you tell me your thoughts?

HI - to me she does look a bit thicker than I personally like could be the camera angle but I don't see much of a "waist" should be able to vaguely see the ribs

May be the quality of food she is eating does it have fillers?? they eat more and don't get the nutrients to stay full if the food has fillers is my experience......

How active is she?? what does your vet say about the weight gain and the hunger together?

There are diagrams that explain how to see if your dog has a good shape.....those have been posted here before maybe someone can post that again, I have switched computers and don't have that pic anymore or I would share

Thank you @talisin! The diagram is helpful. I will talk to our vet when we go next month. We just got a privacy feces installed in our large back yard so we are excited about that. Thanks for responding!

yes, she might be a bit chubby for her age - she should have some tuck up underneith and I don't see any in that picture.

Most dogs are willing to eat until they explode - she won't starve! For some bulk that will fill her without calories, you can add green beans. Frozen or fresh are fine, but so are no salt added canned beans.

Thank you @fitzmar for the suggestions. I will introduce green beans to her.
