good morning dobie friends ! sunna has a touch of dry skin , i have started her on salmon oil awhile back but the gas was unbearable so went to coconut oil she loves it and so far no gas lol . my vet said she thinks flaxseed oil would work better, my question is if the flaxseed is as easy to digest as the coconut and if her system could absorb it as well as the coconut ? thanks for all and any comments!

I've never done flaxseed - I've done salmon oil with good results and I currently do coconut oil. I've got good coats, but don't attribute it to just that.  Some dogs have allergy issues with flaxseed oil.

Both our girls love coconut oil and it's helped Sofia's dry thin coat to get thicker, smoother and much softer.. I even rub it in and on her along with a tablespoon at lunch time on her meals..

Start out slowly... as any supplement needs to be adjusted over time..

thanks guys , i think i'll stay with the coconut oil it seems to beworking pretty good . after researching i found that flaxseed oil is'nt absorbed by a dogs system very well if at all ! makes me wonder if my vet really knows about natural remedies! she says she gives it to her dogs , should i tell her lol no maybe not
