Will neutering a male prevent problems with aggression?

Although neutering is touted by some veterinarians as a solution to behavioral problems, it isn’t. Both males and females should be left whole at least until one year of age for proper development.

Being unaltered can, however, make certain behavioral problems worse. Dogs predisposed to problems, such as rescued or abused dogs, should be neutered. Just remember, neutering will not fix a behavioral problem, only training will.
