Jake is a 12 year dream come true for me.  I have wanted a Dobie since I was 16 and I kept saying "someday I've have my own" until I finally realized that tomorrow never comes & it's now or never.  After searching for over 6 months and applying with every rescue I could find, I couldn't get any response or just turned down b/c I had a full time job or even b/c I might someday have kids!  Finally, my chance had come- I found an ad for a Doberman over 3 hours away from me.  I immediately responded and took off the next day to get him.  A cop had owned him and kept him in a crate all the time- at 8 months old he still didn't know his name or how to play with toys!  He came home with me and has been my co-pilot and bestfriend ever since.
