Drake is 7 months, being neutered at 5 months.  He has never marked before.  I don't know what happened last night but we took him out last night, he peed outside, and when he got back inside he jumped on our bed like he always does.  He was moving the sheets around like he normally does before he settles in but before he was going to lay down, he peed on the bed.  Litterly 2 minutes after he went outside, he peed on the bed.  We have no clue what he was doing.  He's never done it before.

I yelled at him while he was doing it and he immediately ran to his "safe spot".  He had his head down, wouldn't have any eye contact with me, and you can tell he knew he did something wrong.

What could have caused this?  I've never heard this being done before unless it is marking.
Could me be trying to take the "alpha" roll?

It's called "an accident"

im sure kate is right.....if it persists then you may want to make sure theres nothing going on with him....my mom had a poodle that got to where she would pee when she jumped up on something but vet gave her meds so it was a very quick and easy fix.....

One of my Dobes does that too but it is a recurring thing doesn't matter if he goes potty outside or whether you take food and water away at night he'll still poop and pee all over. Just started a few months ago and there are no health issues.

I don' know many dogs that pee on the bed they are about to lay down on unless they can't get somewhere else. So I'd chalk it up to an accident and keep an eye on him.

Thanks for the replies but watching him the next day and thinking about it, we took him to the vet and it turned out to be a UTI.
