I know this is going to sound bad but.. I am looking for a trainer to send my doberman to. I don't want to take obesience classes, I want him to go stay with someone and get trained and come home, even if I have to pay for it. (preferably someone with cats)

Located in southern VA.. any ideas?

(I should add.. the reason I want it done for me is.. single mom.. full time job.. no patience for training after work!! Need a helping hand!)

Hi Rileysmum,
Maybe you could get a personal trainer that could come and give you tips etc. Training is all part of the fun. :)
Good luck

What I've found when training other people's dogs is, most of my work goes into the actual people. That's why obedience classes are great. They aren't really for the dog at all.

I know about training, I took obedience classes with my husky and enjoyed it alot. Knowing the work that needs to go into starting him from "scratch", Im seeking outside help. I do not have time to put in, I need a "helping hand" getting a little training under his belt. I really feel like this is the right thing to do, my last resort, sort of. This year has been such a mess for us, he has grown up in the kennel with my husky. Im hoping sending him to in board training will help me get started. While he's gone Im getting a wireless dog fence for the two of them. Any experience with the wireless?
