So, Evie's exactly 16 months 4 days old and up to this point when she ran full-out it was always a bit of a high-speed gallop(one front paw in front of the other). Well today she finally discovered her double suspension gallop and, oh man, she was just hauling butt!

My question: she's nearing full growth, has anyone else noticed when this happens with their dogs(in general, I realize all dogs are different), is this early, late, right on time?

Regardless, I was even more in awe of her phyisicality today, she was really moving -- quite a sight:)

I think for Q it was about two years before i realised just how much his body shape had changed. it was a 'Wow' where's my puppy gone??? Yes i love the gallop...and the different noises...on grass..the sound of him is exactly like a horse cantering. Magic :)

My heart actually beats a little faster when I watch Sofia in her full out gallop.. sooo fast and even hard to capture on film... I have a picture here somewhere and it looks like all four feet are in the air at the same time.. will go hunt for it..

Here she is..not the best view.. but she was keeping up with the golf cart!!

Q, I think you hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what it sounds like, a horse or maybe a deer.  It really is amazing.
