A lovely fawn female doberman landed on our doorstep.. We knew nothing about her except that she would be in our lives as long as she allowed us to do so
This has been an amazing year of some of the greatest joy we've ever experienced.
I have this forum to thank for helping me throughout the scares, the injuries, the fun and the general raising of a doberdiva named Sofia

Hi Lady Kate, Happy Anniversary to you and Sophia!!! Although I have read her story, and have forwarded it on to friends, I did not recall that it was only a year ago that she was bestowed on you. How wonderful! I can tell you love her so much and that she is one happy girl! Isn't it amazing how much joy our dobies can bring to our lives? Like rgreen, I have had other dogs, too, but there is no dob like a Doberman. Kisses from Ginger, Lexy and gingersmommy!

Congratulations, for not only do you have a wonderful protective companion, just think of all the friends you have made because of her.
Even before I got my first Doberman 28 years ago, I had been a dog person and had owned several dogs. But after Windy, they were only dogs, and I had never really been owned by a dog until Windy. Even today, I am somewhat awed by the relationship I have with Princess and Red.
