Well today is the day, in less than 3 hours we will be on the road to pick up our new 7 week old baby boy.
A little about us? Well, we are a large family of six children, 2 yorkshire terriers and 2 rhodesian ridgebacks. Yes, our lives are busy, but we like it that way. We've been reading through the board and found many wonder topics and hope to be able to post alot in the time coming!

Oh oh oh my I had the privilege of a rhodesian ridgeback too!!!! Great dogs. Mine wasn't as dark muzzled as yours but great dogs. As others here have pointed out numerous times what gender are the ridgebacks?? I know our male ridgeback was alittle snarly at my very very docile male collie but when he realized that the collie was super submissive he left him alone, so have you considered how all 4 dogs will get along??? I can't imagine a doberman and 2 ridgebacks and 2 terriers oh my you will be busy busy busy.....do keep us updated we love pictures of the ride home and the first days of checking out the new home......Uncle Ben the rottweiler sends big old rottie kisses to the little boy....

I have multiple dogs, also, and I sort of believe that as long as you keep peace within the pack, ALWAYS hold the Alpha position, respect your dogs and gain their respect, 5 or 6 (or even 7) is not too many. I know people that have one or two dogs that are too many for them to handle. LOL There was a Ridgeback in one of the puppy classes I took a doberman to about 7 years ago, it was a very cool dog.
Have you picked a name for your new little one yet? You know, we will require pictures

I love the dark markings on his muzzle....my last dobe, Darmok, was colored like that. At first, I wasnt thrilled because I thought she looked "different" than most black & rust dobe faces, but I soon fell in love with her face. Your little Apollo reminds me of how she looked when she was a puppy. He's gorgeous.
