I'm so sorry you feel you have to rehome Olive.  I've been in your position, but fortunately haven't had it affect my dogs.

My advice is not only don't try and recoup your expense by selling her, but don't try and do it yourself.  Find a reputable Doberman (not all breed) rescue and turn her over to them.  Maybe even "foster" her for them until they find a suitable home.  There are human predators out there who look and sound good, but will take your dog and use it for torturous and barbaric purposes.  They fool innocent people; I know you love Olive too much to see that happen.  In reality, a contract is no protection.

In my county we have an organization that helps folks with the cost of dog food.  Might there be something like that where you live?  I don't want to pry, but if that's all it is, maybe that would help.  I know its hard to ask for assistance, but this is your dog!  Of course, if its a matter of finding a new place to live, that's more complicated.

I hope you find a good solution for you and Olive.  She is a very pretty girl.

Maybe someone could let her live with them temporarily until you get back on your feet.
