Check out the rescue website:

http://doberman.rescueme.org/NorthCarolina

I'll try to upload pictures.

They're currently in North Carolina, but they should be coming to Eastern PA soon.

Contact Fureverhomes Doberman Rescue (find them in Facebook) if interested.

We're fostering the four of them.  They're a blast!

Add that to my 2 dogs, for a total of 6.

Please help spread the word.

OMG, you've got all FOUR of them????

They are gorgeous babies. My next one will be a partbred (like Libby was), but with Gabriel older and arthritic, I don't think he'd hold up to a pup. Otherwise, I'd be getting in my car right now!

Bless you for fostering them, Michael!  I'm sure, because people like you care, they will find wonderful homes. It must be tons of fun at your place right now - I would be having the time of my life.

Thanks, Kim.

Our house is chaos right now, but it is fun!  They're even  more adorable than the pictures show.

I nominate those for some of the BEST photos I've seen here!  I love, love, LOVE the photo of them all waiting for dinner!  (The stairs photo is terrific too!)  I will come back over and over, just to see those pictures!

Ah, geez. I want one.

What do Thunder and Hershey think of the puppy explosion?

Thunder has been surprisingly calm, but curious about his new guests.

Hershey just wants to play.  His breed (flat coated retriever) is known as the peter pan breed; They never grow up.  He's very excited about new puppies to play with.

Thanks, Bell.

We're not sure what they're mixed with... possibly beagle?

You should see Thunder (adult doberman) watching over these puppies.  He lets them run around and play, but if they get into puppy fights, he'll run over and put a stop to it.  He even gave Marley a time-out by chasing him onto the patio and keeping him there.

When the swarm of puppies runs around the corner of the house, Thunder will follow to watch them.

Our other adult, Hershey can sometimes play too rough with the puppies.  Thunder will chase him away when that happens.

Puppies have been removed from the North Carolina site, and are now on the Pennsylvania site.

Sigh....Puppy Acquisition Syndrome has kicked in again.  LOL!

Anyone showing any interest in adopting any of them, Michael??

We've had a couple of people show interest, but no one has actually made a move.

For now, we're having fun with the whole gang.  Busy, but fun.

They're starting to show fear of strangers, so we're taking them places to meet people.

Daisy seems to be the most fearless.  She fell in our pool, but had no trouble swimming to the edge.  She's a bit of a flirt, too.

Lacey is the most affectionate.  She loves to snuggle.  They all do, but Lacey most of all.  I guess that white heart on her chest means something.

Marley is most fearful of strangers, but he's working on it.

and Maisy... When you see three puppies together, she's the one that's not with them.  She likes to explore on her own.  She also likes belly rubs.

So, I've got to ask...

How do you take four puppies out? One at a time? Or do you have plenty of help?

Oh it's a riot!

My wife, daughter, and I took the four puppies to the park (so someone gets two puppies).  They keep getting their leashes tangled up, so we play a twister-like game, handing off leashes to each other.

Sometimes, we'll just take one puppy out somewhere.  That gives her a chance to explore on her own.  One of our goals is to help them become more independant, since it's unlikely that they'll all be adopted together.

That would be fun to see!  I wouldn't think the rescue would want them going to the same home, so taking them out one by one is great, too!

But I sure would like to see a video of the three of you taking all four of them out! LOL!

i doubt if thats a dobie trait to lay your tail on the floor...

Bella Never lays any part of her tail on anything in a sitting or crouching position...!

I don't know about my purebreds - they all had their tails docked. But Libby put her tail out behind her just like that when she was sitting!

Michael, how are the puppers doing? I'm watching RescueMe, and see they've had DNA tests done - did the results come back in yet?

It sounds like you are doing a terrific job with them, and their new owners are going to be very lucky folks in getting one of these pups!  Massive Kudos to you and your family!

Thanks, Kim.

Daisy has been adopted to a couple with another dog.  They're doing well, from what I've heard.

Another adopter is coming today (2PM) so we'll most likely be homing another.  I don't know which they'll choose.

That leaves us with two.  Fingers crossed.  They're great puppies and deserve good homes.  The Doberman Rescue we're working with is very diligent about home inspections.  Some applications have been turned in, but denied.

By "Homing", I mean giving to a home.  Not getting another in our home.

What? You mean you're not ready for another four puppies?  LOL!!

Did you ever hear what they are mixed with??

Again, congrats on such an impressive job with all of them!

Thanks, Kim.

Macey has now been adopted!

That leaves Marley and Lacey.

Hooray!!

I hope they both find a great home, too!  Lacey's my favorite - she reminds me a lot of my Libbers. A snuggler.
The heart on her chest is a bonus.
