Hello, this is my first post on the website, I've been lurking through fellow posts throughout my puppies life to learn about ear cropping.  I finally decided to post.

My dog is now going to be one year old. He has his ears cropped, they are straight and look great. I just feel they may be a bit distant apart. (Like they can be closer together on top by "correcting" them).

Please advise me how to correct, if any correction is needed.

PS: He is nearing 1, in August.

Just my 2 cents but I think his ears look great!  He is only a year old, still growing into those ears.  When he starts filling out they will look better.

What is his name?  He is a Cutie Patutie.

His name is Stimpy. I have a 5 year old Min-Pin named Ren. Like, the name of the cartoon, Ren and Stimpy.

Thanks for the input I know they came out straight I was just worried they were a little far apart. I guess they aren't. I can't wait till he fills in, he will look great, I think. Just wanted to know before it was too late.

I agree, Stimpy's ears look great.  If he's only a year old, he still has some 'filling out' to do.  Usually by the time they reach their 2nd birthday, they have most of their growth done. Not always, but usually.  I wouldnt worry about his ears, though.

They seem to be standing well. Part of the reason that they look "far apart" is the crop itself. The vet left a lot of bell (bottom part of the ear) and didn't shape the ears much. There isn't anything you can do about that now, except to just love him as he is  :-)

His ears seem fine - I think it's just the crop style that makes them look like they're ''too far apart''. Just like Fitzmar said.

He will grow into them, and you will probably stop noticing that they're ''too far apart''.
