Female scrapes food on floor
I have a 4yr old female Zena she is a good dog but when she eats she takes her paw and scrapes food on the floor then picks thru it and eats what she wants and leave the rest. I have tried gettin a taller container she eats out of she still does it. I just don't know what to do have been workin on this for 2yrs now. My boys don't do this just my girl yes she is spoiled rotten but so are the boys.
My male Zeus barks at all animals on tv this drives me nuts and cant break him from this. He doesnt like other animals in his space. Now the baby boy Apollo is starting to do it to sometimes not all the time.
I had her food in a low bowl then I got tired of the food on floor and got a bucket from TSC that u put water in but I put her food in cuz sides are high...Its like she plays a game with her food then leaves me a mess to clean up when she is done.
Umm I don't know bumping you back up!
With regard to the barking at animals on TV, my own dog used to do that especially with my favourite program 'its me or the dog' finally here in NZ :) Taking a tip from Victoria i got Q to sit with a hand on his collar so that he didnt 'rush at the tv' then kept saying the shsss word with rewards on his being quite. This has worked well although he dosnt relax whilst this program is on and sits very attentively towards the TV :) with furrowed brow but its getting better :)
Never seen one paw through her food, but have seen them take their nose and move it around to find the better morsals in the bottom, shoving the others out of the bowl in the process. Princess used to do it on occasion when she was very young. I decided that she was too well fed in order for her to play with her food, so I cut her ration back a bit. I was feeding her three times a day at the time and she was leaving food. So I cut back by the amount she was leaving for a week. At that point she would finish quickly and then look up at me as if to say "Is that all?" I then increased her intake a bit more.
What are you feeding her? How much are you feeding her.

MY dobie Izzy is weird she likes to pee on my deck and the walk. ugg. Anyways I read somewhere that is is best to feed dogs as low to the floor as possible. That a raised feeding is worse on them. I'm don't remember why.
As far as the barking at the TV I saw on TV not sure which celebrity but as soon as he starts you take him out the room. Wait a bit till calm bring him back repeat again and again till he has learn not to bark at the TV...It worked too!
