what is her weight?  you need to feed her more, and a more balanced diet.  you're depriving your dog of almost everything it needs in it's food, which is something you don't want to do, especially with a growing puppy.

OK maybe I am misunderstanding you but are you only feeding your puppy rice with milk?  If this is the case get in your car and go buy some large breed puppy food.  Your puppy needs vitamins, minerals, vegetables, protein and many other things he can not get from rice and milk alone.  Also, a puppy under 6 months should be fed 3 times a day equalling the total daily amount on the label.  If you don't give your puppy the proper nutrition now it can effect him for the rest of his life.

Like Control_Freak , I misunderstand . You gave very few details . If all your feeding your pup is milk and rice , it's starving . I would think this isn't the case though .

If your pup is on a decent food and eating the proper  amounts , I would see the vet , there may be other problems . You should not see her/his "bones" as you put it .

This is Jewel at 4 to 5 months . No bones .

As Kevin K and Control_freak ,said , nutrition is very improtant at this age .

Best of luck

Chvarun1990, do you literally mean rice and milk??? If so, I agree with Control_Freak and gun_slinger - take a trip to the store before it closes and get some large breed puppy food - and feed away.

If what you actually meant was a rice-based puppy food, one that contains plenty of meat/protein, a trip to the vet is necessary to find out what kind of intestinal parasite she has and treat it.

One thing you might want to consider to improve his appetite is to pre-moisten the dry dog food to get the gravy like juice in the bowl. If you let the food sit in the bowl for about 15 minutes or so, it will also soften up and is easier to eat.

I did this for Princess from the time I got her at 9 weeks until she was about six months old. Initially it was soaked until very soft, and later just soaked enough to get the gravy like juice in the food bowl.

You may want to get her weighed periodically and track her weight. Up to about the age of 8 months, Princess gained on average 2 pound a week. If a dog is under weight the gain may be more than that.

Also, don't go by the amount of food on the bag, as it is just a guide. If you feed Spice 2 cups at a sitting and he gobbles it down and looks up at you, then at the next feeding, try 2 1/2 cups.

I moisten Dakotas food, it's the only way she'll eat it.  When we first brought her home, it had to be saturated and soggy... now she'll eat it as long as it's wet.  It's still a little too hard for her to chew if there's no water.  She'll eat a few bites, and walk away without it.  We feed her about 4 cups or so a day.  Any more than that and she won't fininsh and it sits in the bowl overnight.

Hey guys.. THANKS.. I never realized that Sofia likes her food moistened too.. She's always been a picky eater.. but someone had a can of Pedigree sumpin' sumpin' and asked me if I'd like to try it on my girl.. I mixed the lamb based gravy/chunck goo into her kibble mooshed it around til it was like a stew and it disappeared in two minnits flat.. She came up, gave me her usual. sticky lipped kiss for a thank you ( or a napkin..not sure) and asked for more..

Dakotas funny with the water in the food...  When I put the food out, and put a lil water in, it takes a few minutes to get soft.  So she'll go to her dish, take one piece at a time, walk into the living room, sit and eat it.  Then she'll go back, try another, come into the living room, sit down and eat it.  When it's finally soft enough, she'll just stay and eat the rest of the dish lol.
