We received our Doberman in December 2020; she had a sore on her cropped tail. We really didn't think much about it at the time. However, after getting home and having our vet examine her it turned out to be MRSA. We treated it until our Vet recommended having her treated by a specialist. After surgery to remove a vertebra, and a month in a cone we thought we were in the clear. Just days ago, the specialist acknowledged that she is still dealing with a skin infection on the tail. The specialist recommended Sulfa drugs. Unfortunately, Sulfa drugs can have significant health consequences for Dobermans. Has anyone had to deal with this and had success?

I have no experience with MRSA. There are some good Doberman Health forums on facebook - I would try that.
